Are we getting Olivea?

    I am interested in the Jets picking up at least one experienced OL vet as our #1 backup. However Olivea is not that guy. His injury history and drug use are red flags. And his Chargers teammates and coaches were really down on him. They said he basically quit working hard once he got his big contract. So I wouldn't consider him at all. He's not the kind of high-character guy that Mangini is building his team around.

    I think the injury thing is a smokescreen. I think Olivea is a severe addict. Just read between the lines when Coughlin says "we tried to improve his situation." That's not an injury reference. "We worked him out, he was in outstanding shape...hopefully he'll get himself back to where he feels good about having an opportunity." In other words, "You blew it, junkie."
