Also similar team to 09 and 10

Not much has changed from the teams that went to the AFC championship twice either. Actually, there is a difference. SCHOTTY IS GONE lol This team is going 19-0

We'll be absolutely fine. As long as Rex is here we will have one of the best defenses in the league.. As long as we can get SOMETHING going on offense we have a shot to be 12-4 at best... 8-8 again at worst... Lets not forget that Giants went 9-7 last year and won it all... And we all know how good the Jets play in the playoffs so Im not worried..

Yes, all of our young players have peaked and none of them will progress from how they performed last year. Sanchez included.

Even if we sign a safety, are we still going to have eric smith on the other side? That would still suck

Jimmy will be the other safety most likely (until he gets hurt). Its obvious that Smith isnt a starting safety in the NFL and hopefully Rex sees that..

It would be shocking if they didn't draft at least one S as well. Not that a rookie would be likely to start but hey, you never know. Hopefully they get someone who has a chance of at least seeing the field in his first year.

Chiefs agree to terms with TE Kevin Boss on 3yr deal worth $9M

Oh come on!!! Bennet and now Boss went for very affordable prices... what the hell are we doing in regards to TE!?

Im hoping that Tanny "knows" Fasano is gonna get cut, and Sparano has been campaigning for us to grab em.

Then again I wouldnt be surprised if Fasano lands 4-5m/yr on the open market with the way this FA period is going.

And I dont see the Jets spending that

Boss and Bennett are way better blocking TEs than Fasano. And with Keller becoming a FA next year, and imo not fitting our O, + no good TEs in the draft I feel Tanny is making a big big mistake.

    We'll see...

In all reality I understand we are not 43 mil under the cap but we do have money and this team sitting on there hands is getting old. We need flexability going into the draft and not needing for the most part to draft due to a need.

We need a Rt, thanks to the freakin Bills, WR, TE, and safety......
Jimmy is not a coverage safety, I dont care how good of a field general he is....enough already...he needs to be replaced and same goea for that douchebag Smith.....

This team is in 3rd place right now in the AFC East

We will get a tackle and a S in free agency and a WR & OLB in the draft

How do you figure the jets are 'sittiing on there hands'? Haven't you read the news on the guys they've contacted and setup meetings with? They've also re-signed 2 of there own free agents. Winning the offseason doesn't equal winning games.

we are sitting back and waiting. I am a little upset that we let Brodney get away (signed with the Cowboys) as he provided good depth, something we will need. I would have liked Bennett as a 2nd TE, but I have faith in cumberland if he can come back healthy. You wont see us sign anybody that is a household name, unless they get cut prior or during TC. Sleepy ofseason for us, but as long as we have a productieve draft and can pick up a Braylon I think it will be better for the long haul.

no, what the Jets need to do is have a plan to strengthen the team beyond just this season, not simply sign whoever is available now despite them not being the best solution down the line.

if we pass on some free agents this year and save the cap space now to have flexibility next year, with the expectation of improving in the draft or through player cuts, that is a better plan than simply signing a name now to appease fans that could hinder our ability to do improve the position far more significantly later.

I prefer what the Jets are doing. other than Mario Williams, there haven't been any players worth committing to that even remotely appear to be the player that will somehow drastically improve the team. but that is the difference between having an actual plan and being an idiot fan who just wants to make headlines in the offseason.

Read that they will sign Landry and Nelson and get them both to work under the cap. Also, Mcclain in Denver now visiting but with their focus on Manning doubt they sign him and I bet he ends up signing here during the visit. If they can get all 3 of them. Watch out that defense will be lethal, especially after the players that we draft and bring in. If they can draft a pass rusher holy shit.

Should be able to sign Schilens today also. If he can stay healthy may be a good threat to stretch the field.

I love Jets fans. Take them to the ocean, they'd ask you where to find the water.
