Are we doing hypotheticals? I'm doing a hypothetical.

Nice scenario. Interesting thing about this years draft. I have been reading that at least 3 QB might go within the first ten picks. So, One serious option for us is to move down a few spots and hopefully get a 2nd rounder back. Therefore the higher we get to pick the better leverage we have. And short of a cant miss LT and/or pass rusher we sure have plenty of other holes to fill. The real question for me is who is doing the selecting and who is the new HC? Getting a top notch HC gives us an immediate boost in performance and leverage in the free market. Just my two cents.

If we have a top 3 draft slot, I would want more than just getting a second round pick back to be happy.

    2 1st's and 2 2nds may well see me smile :)

You could get a later one and may be two 2. If you can get 2 firsts &2 seconds you need to immediately apply for Mac's job. You will also be able to select our next HC.
PS: KOB was one of my favorite Jets QBs short of JWN. I actually saw him later in life as an assistant HS coach here in LA and he could still throw those beautiful spirals down the field.

If the Rams play like they did this week, anything is possible.

    Love the hypothetical !

I’m a stupid dumb emotional ass and I’d LOVE to beat the Pats

Even if it drops us from 1

And even if it only drops Pats from 3 to 4

That being said- the smart play is

    LOSE

Focus on us. Focus on our house. Focus on getting best pick (most flexibility)

Focus on the next 15 years

Brady is great but Father Time is undefeated.

Bill and Tom should be gone within 3 years, and we need to build.

My emotions are dead wrong, but I’d love to symbolically end Toms regular season career dominance. I’ll double down and love to see us crush him to dust and knock him out of the playoffs.

    Sorry to say

You can't pay me to root for the Cheaters no matter the circumstances. Against the JETS? Not happening.

Will first off Mac is staying and Bowles is going. That I feel is set in stone. I'm not saying this is the ideal situation but this is the reality that's facing us. The 2019 NFL Draft will be in the hands of Mac

I'm torn. We end up with 1 we can end up with Bosa and then add another UFA pass rusher in the offseason and overnight transform our D into something really scary.

Then again we can put that 1-4 pick on the market and get some desperate team that's fallen in love with one of the 2019 QB class. We take their first, their first NEXT YEAR. Their 2nd this year. Maybe and additional 3rd or 4th. All of a sudden we can get that center for Darnold for a decade as well as another solid lineman. We can get that good back in the 2nd or 3rd round (Snell, Bryce Love etc). We could really upgrade the talent in a lot of areas in a hurry

Don’t think of it as rooting for the Cheaters.

Think of it as rooting for the good of the franchise for the next 5-7 years.

Besides I’m not rooting for the Jets to lose no no no.

I’m just rooting for them not to win.

To be fair, it was just a hypo.

Maybe better it be a mute point and no one hears of it ever again.

I'd be happy with Snell, who knows, that might even bring Matt Snell back into the fold, but Bryce Love is overrated and can't stay healthy. No to him.

    I'm beyond rooting.

I just want to see good football from Sam Darnold and if that means wins, so be it.

I can see Oakland winning on Monday. It's the last game at that stadium and I think the fan base will turn up.

While we might all enjoy the high of a Jets win, especially if it screws o ER the Patsies, I think we would all be much better of with a decade of Bosa terrorizing opposing QBs.

It is long past time for us to re-open the sack exchange.
