Can I just say that the Giants did not let us share the new stadium. The jets were out there lease with the giants and wanted a stadium of there own.So woody started a campaign for the jets to move over to the west side in a brand new one.The giants wanted none of that and went to the league asking for a new one also. The west side thing collapsed and the giants proposed the jets but into 50 percent of the property and put a larger more suited share stadium. My point is the giants did not let woody buy in.They had no choice and all the sudden needed a new stadium of there ow.You would think the giants did not need the jets since the jets been "paying rent" all those years.I believe they did not want he jets to get the new stadium cause the jets would have a more attractive reason to go to there games.
All I know is this; The Jets are consistently ripped apart and the Giants are consistently coddled. Rex Ryan is never given credit for anything (see Mike Francessa saying "the Jets haven't won anything" when we did make it to two straight AFCCG's), while Tom Coughlin is called a Hall of Fame genuis mere months after the loss to Washington in crunchtime had the organization reeling. That's all a coincidence and the Giants have nothing to do with it? The evidence seems pretty clear to me. This cannot be just a coincidence because it's "100% Jets bad" and "100% Giants good". When something like that happens it isn't "reporting", it's PROPAGANDA.
There is a pretty big difference and the Giants do have something to do with it but I'll let you ponder the question of what it is.
And from thw Giants perpective, they won 2 trophies in 4 years and can't get any press coverage. The talking heads ALWAYS pick the eagles and cowboys over them and they feel they gwt no respect ans the world is against them despite being the defending champs. Just saying, it's all according to your perspective. I just want the Jets to take the division!
And if Rex Ryan wins the Super Bowl this year he'll be called a confident genius only one year removed. Welcome to the NY media. And no, it's not a coincidence. The Giants went on a statistically unprecedented run and the local media is generally positive about this. The Jets saw their season go up in smoke after claiming they would win the Super Bowl, the media is generally negative about them because of this. The only impact the Giants have on the Jets being blasted in the media is holding up a very convenient example that beat writers can compare the Jets with. How does this seem to be clearly propaganda to you? What evidence do you have? Better yet, what positive things would you like the media to say that they aren't and what negative things would you rather the media not say that they are?
Why wouldn't the Super Bowl champions be coddled? I feel like I'm reading AbdulSalaam's unreasonable spewing nonsense about Mangold going to London to see his sister compete in the Olympics, for some odd reason. This thread makes zero sense.
Oh my God! On the NFL Network Jamie Dukes just told Shaun O'Hara that he's going to have to say something negative about the Giants! Then he said he thinks the Jets are going to overcome the expectations everyone has for them! Conspiracy!!
There are two possibilities here. 1. Thoughts from a tinfoil hat wearer 2. Troll from *******************
Okay fine... keep listening to the talking heads on radio tell you your team sucks, your head coach sucks, your owner sucks, your GM sucks, your players all suck, and YOU SUCK! Then just keep telling yourself it's all "fair and balanced" in the New York sports media and there's no bias towards the Giants CONTINUALLY and no payoffs being made to Mike Francessa and WFAN and John Wilkes Booth never shot Lincoln and the world is flat and man will never fly and Snoop Dogg is a better guitarist than Hendrix and Tom Brady is a better quarterback than Joe Montana and...
Yea, I was watching that too. Dukes seems to be one of the very few not jumping on the "Jets have a QB controversy" bangwagon. The topper is he laughs at the bozos riding that bandwagon.
So do you take solo credit for these posts or are they a collaboration between you and the voices in your head?
Dukes laughs at everyone like a smug asshole, so I don't think that's anything new. He annoys me. A few years back he was talking about how you can't bench Brett Favre (when he was with the Jets, actually) because it would cause him to lose the confidence of the team. He said three times in a row "the quarterback is different from other positions, you have to understand that!" and each time was more pedantic and condescending than the last. Ever since then I've been cheering for the post-concussive symptoms plaguing former players to take another victim.
I think Colt McCoy, Mohammed Massoquoi, and whomever else James Harrison concussed on his way to the beach this morning are having similar problems. /isn't sure how post-concussion syndrome actually works
The Giants weren't ripped when they were losing 5 of 6 last year and Coughlin was on the hot seat every week? GTFO with this stuff. When Eli threw a million picks for a TD against the Vikings the first year they won a SB he was getting shredded. Even Francesa was killing the Giants during the Tiki/Strahan days when they were blowing playoff games left and right. What's next, there's an anti-Met conspiracy cause the Mets get negative attention and the Yankees don't? NEWSFLASH: One organization is far more successful than the other!
I've heard some pretty wild conspiracy theories, but this is just stupid. The Giants gain nothing by smearing us. They recently won a superbowl, they probably already won all of the positive support they need. Why care if the media is making others hate the Jets for no reason? If there were anyone smearing us, it'd be The Ninth Circle (Pats), but that's very unlikely.
