Great way to hijack a thread. First a bunch of completely ignorant threads about mental illness and then 2 pages of childish bickering. If you want to argue, do it on your own time in the personal conversation area and spare us.

I don't see anything wrong with what he's said, in fact I love it!
The guy's been in the league a long time and he's still got the fire inside and love of the game. Still trying to improve each and every game and practice.
Gailey gushed about his willingness to try things he's never done before while most vets are set in their ways.

This guy is awesome and all that chip on his shoulder can do is benefit us.

I naively thought the in-fighting on TGG would cease once we started winning games.

    I was wrong.

Anywho...like DaBallhawk says...I like Brandon. I love his skills and his fire.

But (God forbid) if things turn to shit and we start tanking... I have no doubt he'll start mouthing off about how he ain't getting the ball enough, or the game plan sucks...etc.

When things are good, he's fine...just like Santonio.

Here's hoping that Bowles keeps things in check.

If we do start tanking and Marshall not getting the ball? Wouldn't he have a point? Since we are winning getting him the ball?

I'm talking about harping to the media.

We've seen how players can make an adverse situation worse by yapping to the press.

I'm sorry I've never bought that "yapping to the press" makes things worse. When players are on the field they don't think about what being said in the press.

There's no correlation between the two. Forcing the ball to a receiver doesn't result in winning games. You're much more likely to turn the ball over and lose games. I don't care about Marshall's stats, I care about winning. If Marshall is open feed him the ball, if not go to Decker, it's pretty simple. Decker I think set a team record with 7 receptions in the first half because he was open all day and in 1 on 1 coverage against a lesser corner while Marshall was being doubled by Vontae and a safety. Marshall is one piece to the puzzle, so is Decker, so is Ivory, Powell etc. we don't have that ONE guy who makes this team. Unlike Brady and Gronk. If you have Brady and Gronk you can force the ball to him and feel good about it. Fitz forced the ball to Marshall a handful of times against the Colts, into double coverage, and he was lucky those didn't get picked because a) Marshall is not the same mismatch Gronk is and b) Fitz ain't Brady, his arm is average at best.

Fitz did turn the ball over forcing Marshall the ball. Plus we all know Marshall will get open nobody can play him one on one in most cases double teamed. This guy been double teamed most of his career and is still a beast.

Just because you don't buy it does not mean it doesn't have some truth to it, that is why it is generally frowned upon. 9 times out of 10 a player complaining to the press causes friction in the locker room which translates to problems on the field.

But they do put 2 guys on him, they do shadow him with a #1 corner. Week 1 it was Haden, week 2 it was Vontae Davis. And they even put a safety on him as well. There's no reason to force the ball to Marshall in that case when Decker is matched up 1 on 1 with a subpar #2 corner. He's gonna win that matchup 100 out of 100 times. I don't want either of those guys to get 15 catches. I rather have both of them at 5-10 catches for around 100 yards each, it just limits the probability of a turnover when you throw the ball to the guy that's open as opposed to forcing it to Marshall in double coverage.

When do you see it happening? When a player is on a bad team. So to me it doesn't matter because if your on a bad team you lose games. What difference if somebody going to the media complaining or if teams fight each other in practice?
