For a while there, I considered taking advantage of the option to turn off the display of avatars. Your Piven avatar and any avatar with movement would annoy me. At least with the moving ones I could click the red X and make them stop. Piven, though? Nope. That dork was smiling no matter what.

You seem to be ranting about people you know nothing about (Such as 17a) so how are you any different then the bolded portion?

FYI, As important as Namath was for the franchise, I'm sick of seeing him paraded around everywhere too, How about a different face of the franchise, such as guys like Sanchez, Mangold, Harris, etc.

Obviously people are bored this particular Sunday. It's the last one before the NFL regular season begins. Many people are off tomorrow and having or attending parties tomorrow. So loads of people are bored and resting at home today, I guess.

Where am I going with this? It seems to me there are at least three threads in this forum that could be locked by a mod at any time.

 

Because there are tons of guys comparable to Namath.

 

If they win a Super Bowl, then fine.

If not, then it is going to be difficult for any of them to be the face of the franchise or team ambassador.

Namath is well-known outside of the football world. Those other guys are not.
