I'm trying to figure who the bigger whiners are...the Namath Nuthuggers or the SOJF.

it's a dead heat right now.

    tell that to Al Davis.

also, how has the game changed?

    lets see....

    -Free agency
-faster/stronger athletes, PEDs, better knowledge and resources for training and diet
-Changes to pass interference that greatly favor the offensive player
    -longer seasons
-the game is played much faster due to my 2nd point
-Also due to my 2nd point, the QB and WR positions have changed greatly
-schemes have gotten more complex. How many of these defensive fronts didn't even exist when joe retired?

That's only scratching the surface because there's been a billion different rule changes, and evolution of prototypical position players.

There's two kinds of old timer NFL analysts/former players.

There's the Al Davis senile should be in a nursing home types
and then there's the Gil Brandt old as dirt but still has his wits and keeps up with the game type.

Joe is definitely closer to the former

    Will do.

His antics with Suzie Kolber were hilarious.

Great Old Jackal..... We really need you questioning what's going on in a lockerroom you have no part of....

    SHUT UP OLD MAN.....

Since he has made his comeback the past 2 years I haven't heard 1 intelligent FOOTBALL thought yet.....

He is so far removed from the game that he's no better than any other Old man with an opinion on the radio.....

My god, get a Football Scout or someone who has actually worked in the NFL the past 5 years to give an opinion, this guy is a waste...

We needed you when Kotite was the coach..... Where were you then big mouth?

talking out of his ass. Questioning the team's preparation when he's not even in the damn locker room. Like you said, all those lameduck coaches the Jets had (especially Kotite) and Namath didn't have shit to say.

If not for the Jets resurgence under Rex, nobody would even give a damn about his opinion. When is the last time we've heard anything remotely intelligent concerning football analysis from this guy?

If it wasn't preparation, is the Raiders offense just that much better then our D? And if they are that much better, then we might not even make the playoffs.

That was a horrible display from the D, and that falls on Rex and his big mouth.

Exactly. Funny we never heard a peep from Joe all those years the Jets were bad. Seems like he's only around during good years for some camera time and so know one forgets him. I heard Rex poured him a giant glass of shut the fuck up this morning.
