I think Joe is awesome !!! The guy was a Football GOD during his era. He was a great passer and a larger than life personality who helped revolutionize the game ... oh and he led the Jets to beat the Colts and shocked the world. I am not tired of him, I think he is AWESOME. I love that he is a bit corny and gets things a little mixed up. He also won a Fukking Lombardi Trophy. So if you don't like Joe - turn the channel and stop bitching about it. Joe Namath is a HOFer and the Greatest Jet of all ALL TIME. People love Joe. Get over yourself.

This is a sad thread. Ultimately we all age, it seems many do not respect that. For those that do remember seeing Broadway Joe play, we all knew he was something special. He is to this day the face of the New York Jets. Hopefully everyone will respect Joe as a legend. Together we all want to see more legends. Go Jets!

I've never before seen someone make an argument like the one you just made here. C'mon. Bells and alarms should be going off when you see a guy like Matt Hasselbeck eclipsing Namath in most statistical categories. Namath and Hasselbeck played in very different eras. The mediocre QB of today will have better numbers than the great QB of the 1960s or 1970s. Just do a little research.

I respect Joe for all he's done for this franchise. But I really hope we win a Super Bowl soon. So Joe can fade into oblivion. Every time I see him, it's a constant reminder of how long ago this franchise won a championship.

You win the biggest clown award. He wasn't a great QB! You're an idiot. He was the first QB to throw for 4000 yards. He accomplished more with zero mobility than any QB in history. His play in Super Bowl III was amazing.
I think I'd smash his daughter. I mean sure she has a horse mouth, but to say I bagged a Namath would be pretty solid.
