Where in that post did I say anything about me personally thinking they will make the playoffs? I don't think they will, but it's a remote possibility, that involves us catching fire and winning 5 straight. If we manage to do that who knows. BIG if. I did say IF in my post, didn't I? If we win out we're 9-7, which isn't a dogshit record.

    No. RG3 is the anti-Sanchez.

On top of the God-given ability (rocket launcher arm, world class speed, intelligence, instincts), he possesses star QB qualities sancho has displayed none of: confidence, poise, and decisiveness.

The guy's skill set makes Steve young look like Bubby Brister and exposes Sancho for what he is: an overhyped-out-of-USC scrub QB who can't even fill the role of a game manager.

Sunday wasn't about what McElroy did. It was about what he didn't do: no sacks, no turnovers, no telegraphed / tipped passses, no stupid plays, no butt fumbles. He got lucky on that INT called back for the defensive penalty, but if Mac can keep doing this he's light years ahead of Sanchise.

Braylon Edwards just tweeted "@OfficialBraylon: Don't blame Sanchez. I played there. Blame the idiots calling shots. Mark is a beast and will prove it when given a proper chance." Love Braylon. I like how he has Mark's back because he was part of his glimpses of greatness.

That being said, by no means am I one of those Sanchez supporters. I was, but not anymore. I like the guy, but he's just not delivering how we need him to deliver.

I personally think Sanchez is a mentally weak player.

His body language just reeks of a player who just doesn't have confidence.

The coaching staff nor the front office have helped. I believe he did well earlier because he had players who could help like Braylon, Cotchery, Thomas Jones and a stout offensive line.

Now Braylon, Cotchery and TJ are gone and the offensive line is a shambles. The replacements hasn't measured and now Sanchez's confidence has been undermined.
There aren't many options at this point.
I think the Jets should look to build around him...ie Solidify the offensive line and get him somebody he has confidence in. He'll never the "franchise" everyone thought he could be, but I think he will be better. He just needs to be "coached up" ala Alex Smith.

One thought that's been kicking around is that if Norv Turner does get fired, the Jets should hire as the new OC. Everyone knows his work in Dallas. But the one year he coached here in San Francisco, Alex Smith's game improved.

BTW...to answer the question..I don't think Mark will be better next week.

At least someone is supporting Sanchez, he is right, though I think Sanchez should have been benched, but that is my opinion.

Bet Braylon is still mad at Tanny :breakdance:

I was watching videos of every pass from Sanchez when he had Braylon last night and what a difference. It was like night and day - composure, execution, decisiveness, etc. He has regressed at a historic rate.

WTF do the "idiots calling shots" have to do with his terrible decision making, failure to protect the football and inability to recognize a blitz before the snap?

I think the Jets have done a piss poor job grooming Sanchez but he isn't helping himself.

to be fair the idiots calling shots keep calling pass plays. If he never threw the ball Sanchez wouldn't look to bad, except for the fumbles of course
