But that really speaks to that intangible of being a "winner", something I value at the top of all things.

not really. his career win % is barely over 500 (111-103) and has been surrounded by some really good teams as well and good coaches.

the top 3 winningest Qbs in NCAA history are kellen moore, colt mccoy, and david greene. Football is too much of a team sport. Flacco, dilfer, foles all won SBs and marino didn't. You shouldn't overvalue college wins ever.

The concept of being clutch is a curious one.

To me, it should mean you are able to maintain your level of play under high pressure (Brady, Rodgers).

For some reason, it has become elevating your play under high pressure (Eli, Tebow). In which case, what the fuck were you doing the rest of the time?

LMAO it's why i never really liked the clutch argument. Good Qbs rarely have to be clutch because they don't dig their team in a hole early on. Sanchez had some really clutch plays for us, but we were only in that position because he sucked for the 1st 3 quarters. If he wasn't so awful in the 1st half of that pitt game, we would have won and went to the SB. He was unstoppable in the 2nd half though but we ran out of time

Not at all. McCoy's talent isn't even in the same universe as Mayfields. And McCoy went in round 3. Mayfield is round 1, top 5. In a deep QB draft. That's impressive.

I didn't specify just college. In my experience there are guys (and women) who always seem to win, they elevate their teams, and get them to win even against the odds. I also didn't say that it was the ONLY quality that counts. And finally, I definitely agree that it takes more than one guy for a team to win (or lose), but as I said before, some guys just always seem to be on winning teams and I don't believe that's a coincidence.

    Nah man. Think bigger.

If only we could figure out that In-n-Out secret sauce.

    McDonald's would pay a fortune.

I'm on board with any of the 4 at this point.

I'd prefer Darnold/Rosen, but I'd be OK with Mayfield/Allen as well.

If you're talking about Allen, he's never been 5th. He's generally been 3rd behind Darnold and Rosen.

Mayfield in Buffalo would be amazing. He'd be throwing Bills fans through burning tables pregame and would be the perfect QB for that town and their whack job fans. I hope it happens.

Interesting info came out yesterday. It was insinuated here that Allen needs to prove himself with his Wonderlic score. Because, you know he has to be the dumb one. The scores are out:

    Josh Allen..........37
    Josh Rosen.......29
    Sam Darnold.....28
    Baker Mayfield...25
    LJackson...........13

he's going to be overdrafted. talentwise mayfield is realistically a 2nd to 3rd round pick.

True but we were facing an elite offense. We kinda expected it.

Not really in the NFL everything is always changing, the "winning" teams usually start with the front office and coaching staff more then it doe the players. The Salary cap prevents that from happening. You have to lose good players. Outside of brady, who has consistently won in the NFL?
