Well that's a bold statement from the OP but I will say this.......the plethora of talent coming out of college is making teams look like geniuses in the early rounds of the draft. With millions spent on the whole draft process, it does seem like many picks could be had with just a few bux, a single private workout, and tapping into the abundant information available.
What's Danario Alexander up to? I've wanted him since he came to the league. Edit- nvm seems this dudes knees exploded
Not to worry--we have Dexter McDougle coming off IR next year to be our savior. The guy played a whole one and a half GAMES his senior year of college and was also injured in high school--Rex wastes a 3rd round pick on him and then calls him the "steal of the draft." Anyone wonder why we stink with Rex as the coach?
Of course there's the story about Russell Wilson almost bring a Jet. Terry Bradway wanted the Jets to select him so bad he banged the table in the Jets draft room. Although Tanny was a good draft day trader he didn't move up to select him and Seattle picked 2 picks before the Jets. Tanny says he might have drafted Wilson if Seattle had passed on him. The Jets selected Demario Davis. Look they've a lotore good decisions on players than you've given them credit for. Sometimes these 7th round guys like Trevor Reilly are good contributors. Sometimes it's luck and other times it's skill.
This is quite possibly the worst thread I've read this year. Everyone thinks they're an expert, particularly after the fact. I may not trust Idzik leading this team, but I certainly don't trust anonymous Jets fans on some forum. Idzik wasn't hired off the street. He may have failed and he may never be successful, but one think I do know is that he is infinitely more qualified to run this organization than OP or his mother.
A search history reveals the thread starter once wanted the Jets to draft Will Hill 30th overall. In another year, he wanted the Jets to draft Manti Te'o 9th overall.
Yeah my mom can cook some serious fucking lasagna and chicken parm but she still thinks Joe Montana is the QB of the 49ers.
I would like to see your previous posts on all these decisions prior to them being made to verify your prowess as an NFL GM. And hindsight is 20/20 not 50/50, douchebags.
Really? it was everywhere in the run up to the draft - these are all from just the first page of links I found when I googled "NFL mock draft 2012" Walterfootball - http://walterfootball.com/draft2012_1.php - had him going at #30 to the Niners NFL.com - http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/0900...nfl-mock-draft-teambyteam-picks-for-rounds-17 - had him going to the Niners at #30 Sports Illustrated - http://www.si.com/more-sports/2013/12/14/mock-draft - predicted the Niners would take Coby Fleener in the first round but said "(Should pick: Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech)." USA Today - http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/spor...9/USA-TODAY-2012-NFL-mock-draft-30/54412050/1 - 3 out of their 5 "experts" had Hill going in the first round (one to the Browns, one to the Texans and one to the Niners) Draft Tek - http://www.drafttek.com/BigBoardPg1.asp - their mock is no longer available but they had him as the 29th best player regardless of position in that draft
