Are we really having this discussion? Fine. Here it goes, in case you weren’t watching. The Bills moved the ball up and down the field on the Jets, Allen doing pretty much whatever he wanted. The drives ended on fluky plays/turnovers... bounces off a thigh, bounces off a hand, and a QB/center exchange which hadn’t been practiced all preseason bc the center was out with a concussion. But for those fluky plays, the Bills are steamrolling the jets and the score looks very different. Does someone really need to explain that to you? I find that odd if you watched the game.
The kid is good but stop this nonsensical assessment. The bold is BS. The Jets lost that game a lot more than the Bills won it. If 3 points and a bunch of turn overs while CJ was there is what you call a carve out then so be it. If that was against a good team your game would have been way out of reach by then.
He had 150 yards passing in a half where there were also 4 turnovers. Think about that. Despite the 4 plays, he was still half way to a 300 yard game at the half. Having 4 drive killers and STILL having that many yards is crazy. If that’s not carving up a defense I don’t know what is.
Allen is playing well and looks to have taken a major step forward in his development. In both the physical and mental aspects of the game. He called the plays vs the Jets and Giants , not the toughest opposition , but positive results none the less. For now at least, he appears to be on the right track. Really what you hope to see from a young developing player. Not saying he's MVP, but he is progressing. No shame in admitting that.
Putting points on the board you fucking biased arse. You can move the ball from the 5-yard line to the opposite end of the field but if it is turned over it is pointless, you had 0 points at half time, that is not carving anybody up. He played well bar the turnovers but you just can't say carved up when you got zero on the scoreboard and turned the ball over 4 times.
So the 4 drive killers (3 of which had nothing to do with him) that negated getting points, all of a sudden takes away from how well he was personally doing? If Darnold takes the team down the field to the goal line each time, but Bell fumbles on the one 4 times in a row... suddenly Darnold wasn’t carving up the defense because the drive didn’t end in points? That’s insane
Quite simply YES, when a QB throws an Int then he is to blame and it negates the good he may have done up until that point and as for your scenario no that wouldn't impact on a QB Allen or Darnald but that didn't fucking happen did it, so that is why it is not INSANE your guy throw two interceptions, how are you not understanding that point? add to the fact you got no fucking points and take that away with you back to your own fucking board. Reply or not your gone so there will be no reply from me, can't be done with other team dicks arguing the toss on another teams board.
I'm sorry, but Allen or no Allen, the Bill's did a lot less to win this game than the Jets did to loose it. I'm not arguing about Allen capabilities but stop making it look like Buffalo are world beaters after playing two weak defenses. If we actually had a kicker for starters, the game was over for the Bills, even if Allen throws for 500 yards against our shit secondary.
Low hanging fruit but I'll take it. His first turnover, a fumble, involved no one else. One on Allen. His second, an INT, was a bad pass. Two on Allen. His third, another fumble, this was on the exchange so at best he only gets 50% of the blame. 2.5 on Allen. His fourth, another INT, was a tipped pass. Low trajectory, all on Allen. 3.5 of 4 turnovers he gets the blame. Please explain how, in your eyes, 3 of the turnovers had nothing to do with him.
as bad as we may be, we are still much better then the giants and fins so we should win at least 3 games this year injuries or not
Somewhat shockingly Shurmur left open the possibility that Eli will sit down on Sunday. Of course that’s what should happen, but it’s still surprising if it happens.
