You really think McNair is tougher? I wouldn't think that at first simply because McNair is constantly out injured. Do you think it is simply because he takes more of a beating physically then Favre has to put up with? And I'm not calling McNair a pansie either. He's a tuff guy, no doubt. But he spends a fair amount of time on the bench nursing something pretty often.
The injuries is why I said "Just as Tough" and not "Tougher". McNair does take a beating, but he also plays injured a lot!
Not at all let farve take his time to make a choice. He has given the packers so much through his career. The least they can do is wait for the HOF to make up his mind.
Now you understand why I began to hate this bitch! After all this he comes to NY, Forces our hand at giving up a Veteran QB with Playoff experience, "Retires", asks for his release and here we go again!!!
I liked the trade when we made it, and I really liked it through week 12. And when he retired, I was happy and had no ill will towards him. That being said, he's a liar and like cimini said a phony
Exactly my thoughts. I'll readily admit that I liked the trade when it was made, but this whole ordeal is making me sour on him a lot.
I think the Jets fans that are sick of him now, will be 10x sicker if he does come back, and there is a Chad redux: quarterbacks cut by the Jets and then having greater success somewhere else.
when this thread was started there is no way possible did i ever think that we'd ever be involved with favre's career path. it's actually pretty funny. man, am i glad i held off buying a jets favre jersey. my #28 and #80 might be the last ones i ever buy...
The guys a douch bag. I hope he comes back and gets crushed. I am so sick of hearing about this asshole that i wanna puke. He's a selfish dickhead who only cared about his consecutive start streak last season when he was injured. ME ME ME is all he's about. What a dick
Who's gonna suck his dick this year now that Madden's gone? Guess Marriucci better get some knee pads.
I hated the trade when we made it but I could care less about Favre's authenticity. I enjoyed watching him play, I enjoyed watching him win and I have no hard feelings towards the guy, but I thought it was a stupid move to begin with.
It did seem a little odd that Tannenbaum pushed it so hard, when Favre was clearly indifferent to the idea (he was fixated on first Minny then Tampa, and the story is he didn't returns the Jets' calls before the trade). That plus the different system, the supposedly run/control oriented offense, etc. I guess he just counted on being able to get him to learn to like it here. That's where the "fuck yeah" stuff came in I guess. Who knows, maybe it woulda worked if December had not gone the way it did.
