Cromatie just isn't good. The only time he looks good is when he is running straight down the field with a receiver. Any type of break in or out and he completely loses the receiver. He does one thing very well but other then that he's going to get us killed all year. I don't know if it's his size, agility or injured hips but he has shown zero ability to stay with receivers when they aren't running deep routes.
how is he going to get us killed covering number 2 wrs?????? Brandon Marshall is top 5 easily. He shut Moss out last week... Last I heard Randy Moss was a good wide out.
I agree...I think we're definitely getting our moneys worth with Cromartie. The guy is in for every play, and working his ass off. He did slip on the soft turf on the big Marshall play in the 4th quarter, but I think the D was gassed. We brought in Cromartie to stop the opponents 2nd and 3rd WR, and he is busting his balls playing a new scheme, and man to man coverage 95% of the time. He will shut down the 5'10 Lee Evans on Sunday...then Revis will take over. Cromartie is getting some tremendous experience playing as our #1 corner...this can only help us down the stretch.
Because Randy Moss was just running deep routes in the second half. It's not going to matter if it's a team's 1 or 2 wr, when the guy runs 15 yards and breaks in, cromatie can't stay with him. He has no agility to follow wide receivers.
this is a stupid comment. he's not revis. revis spoiled us with his historic season. Most #1 corners in the league can't handle marshall or moss 1 on 1 with no help. Cro was 1 on 1 with marshall quite a bit.And some of those catches weren't cro's fault. I remember leonard not making a couple of plays when he was the help and in position to.
Cromartie has a horrible history against Marshall, it was expected that he'd get beaten up pretty bad against him.
cro is no worse then the crap #2's we played last season. the best thing about cro is his big play ability. we didn't have that last season. he'll get beat some but he'll also make the great play.
I think this ^ about sums up that debate Because honestly I know Wilson, Lowery or Coleman couldnt have been as productive against him and I think if we didnt have Cro we would've lost but on the flip side if we had Revis I think they wouldn't have scored over 10 points
