When moved to LT last season he played very well. It wasn't his fault he had Goodwin next to him.

I must have missed that part.

Did he play well when he almost got Chad killed or when Fiedler went down a few plays later?

  6. That was at RT, which as has been noted 100 times in this post..is not his natural position. once he moved to LT..he was our best lineman

This was expected, when we picked d'brick adrian jones was out of a job. He played great last year at LT and sucked at RT, our FO should have went RT in the draft, but we didn't.

Was Clement not a starter for the Cards? I know they havent been great but if he has been a starting calibre tackle in the NFL then I am happy to have him. PLuys, he is a veteran so obviosly he has performed well over the course of his career...and he has the size that Jones lacks.

Yeah but the increase in the strength of our O-line is more with Brick and whoever plays RT than it would have been with Jones at LT and a draft pick at RT. I'd only have supported what you mention if an accomplished RT was picked up.

Not surprising. He's a LT, not a RT. He was either going to be LT or be on the bench, and when D'Brick was drafted, that sealed his fate.

Adrian Jones should move back to tight end and be our blocking tight end...

u read my mind. I remember people were saying they were the same kind of players, why would we need D'Brick....after 2 preseason games, hes proved alot of people wrong.

ok so if jones is such a good lt he can sit on the bench and spell the big guy...but he sucks asshole at rt and thankfully we wont have to look at him there anymore....we all agree? good.

I wanted Jones to win the job. Oh well I hope Anthony Clement could be a good solid RT for us.

  16. Clement did have a few good years in AZ. His downfall has been inconsistency and health issues. I like the size he offers and veteran solidity...but He certainly is not a long term fix.

And Birdbrain Bradway was so insistent before the 2005 season ("trust me on this one") that Jones would easily replace Kareem. Bradway sure knows talent, doesn't he?

The Jets were taking a long look at Ed Blanton at the RT spot. He played for a full 3 quarters (pretty well form what I could tell). Wonder if there's a chance he will be Clement's backup and Jones backs up Brick on the left?

They are similar...Do you think D'Brick would excell at RT? Probably not and either will Jones, he is a LT. They are not as interchangeable as you may think.

Why does he need to gain weight to be Kendall's heir when he's already bigger than Kendall?
