I agree that this particular "overpaid" list is bullshit, but in all fairness, there are some very, very good liberal arts colleges out there. I wouldn't exactly call them "nobody ever heard of them" either. Maybe to laymen perhaps, but not to people who are educated and/or successful. Many of these LACs have academics/admission standards are right up there with the Ivies. Wouldn't put them above harvard and Stanford, perhaps, but they're certainly up there. BTW, what schools in particular are you referring to that are ranked above harvard and stanford? I like to check out various rankings every year and have yet to see that with the Forbes.com version.
I've done this before but the guy plays his best games in big spots, you look at his playoff numbers and they are on par with some very good QB's. His QB rating in the playoffs is 94.6% with 9 TD's to only 3 INTS. A 127.3 rating with 3TD's and ZERO picks in Foxboro says he is worth every dime.
It's really funny. It doesn't matter what type of magazine or internet outlet you are, you will still find something to crap on Mark Sanchez. This guy is once again growing into being a great QB, they will find anything to say he is overhyped, overpaid, over anything. Once again they want to crap on our team. Jealous of the success the Jets have had in these last two years and starting this year.
Wait this article doesn't have Eli Manning and his most recent deal in it? Sorry but this article loses credit automatically. Mark has outperformed Eli thus far through 2 games so its a terrible job out of Forbes to not do their homework once again.
And while Stafford has been awesome anytime he plays, can't his contract be viewed as far excessive given the amount of games he has missed in his pro career? And he makes more than Sanchez.... They've seriously have got to do their homework. Fans like us who don't even need to use "Teh Statz" can name more overpaid guys off the top of our head in seconds. EDIT: DE Tyson Jackson of the Chiefs. Guy has done nothing and was a top 3 pick. You name Cassel who was great last year when he isn't even the most overpaid Chief? This article is nothing more than trying to cause a stir out of NY fans for views.
Who gives a shit what guys like Skip Bayless or Colin Cowherd think? Careers are defined in the postseason. I could care less what his regular season numbers are as long as he doesn't lose us games and keep us out of the playoffs.
4-2 in the playoffs! Worth it? Hell yes he is. Sanchez will keep improving and keep winning games for the Jets. These people can take their articles and wipe their asses with them.
I love how Sanchez gets ripped for a win. When Matt Ryan played like shit against the Bears, everyone was out to cheer him up. And I love how Matt Ryan gets a "signature win"-(NBC commentators) by beating a backup QB that was taken out in the 3rd quarter. I remember the Jets doing the same exact thing to the Colts and getting ripped about how they should have lost. So much hatred toward the Jets.
I have to post a reply to this. This is ridiculous. While we don't know what he will do this year, he's only won four playoff games in his first two seasons and played in six! Oh, I forgot that they were all on the road in very hostile environments. I've come to grips that my quarterback is not the most flashiest and will not light up the stat sheets with his off the charts stats, ala Mr. Tom Brady. The fact is that the kid finds a way to win. How does that make him overpaid?
No he hasn't... He's off to a good start this season, but he's been far from on point "anytime he plays".
how can a 3rd/4th round QB be a "bust"? he looks fine to me. he doesn't have many weapons either at the same time, the star in the making comment you responded to was plain retarded so i understand what you were trying to say. bradford is about to be star, mccoy is on his way to being a pretty decent QB in this league.
