Same here as soon as McElroy was selected I figured that it was the end of Clemens in NY but a lot seem to think it's Ainge

My guess is that Clemens will be elsewhere and the Jets will find some older gentleman to be the #2 QB. McElroy is good enough to make the roster and be the #3 QB and hopefully become the backup during his second season.

Yes, for 1 million. the jets could eat it or let Clemens go..he is a RFA. If a new labor deal is struck he will be an UFA.

He had bankruptcy problems last year, so it was one of the reasons he signed on with the Jets.

If given the option to comeback, even if for a little cash, he will do it.

Why not? $1million to be a coach? I'd take it in a second.

I can't see Clemens going. He knows Schotties offense well, and Brunell is how old now?

He really needs money so he probably won't walk away willingly. I'm not going to feel comfortable if he's the backup. His skills have eroded big time which is expected because he's old.
I would like to see Clemens get a chance with another team. If he's content being a backup, though, then cool, bring him back.

I find myself wanting to keep Brunell over Clemens. Damn, I must really think Clemens is hot garbage.

I REALLY wish we could get McElroy a playbook. Fuck.

He'd probably have it memorized by mid-May.

He knows the offense but he cannot play in it. Brunell wasn't brought here to play for any extended period of time. He's Sanchez's mentor. Maybe the reason we picked a QB was to bump Brunell back one spot in case Sanchez gets injured.

Clemens doesn't want to be here anymore, and the Jets don't really want him here anymore. Keeping him on the roster last season was little more than an act of charity. If one of the two goes, the team is better off letting Clemens walk than cutting Brunell and resigning Clemens. Talent-wise and financially.

If we would have drafted early last year, he might have gone first round.
