I kept Xavier Nady on both of my fantasy teams, even though it goes against my no Yankees rule. I thought he would do good today and I understand that that was what indeed happened. (I didn't watch the game today because it was beneath me.)

The last 2 days of baseball has created a serious problem. With the Yankees beating the Halos and the Mets losing. WHat hat should Cakes wear on Monday?

If you really think that way, then I'm sorry for you.

Don't you understand that many, many sports fan enjoy needling the fans of other teams, particularly the fans of teams which they do not like?
Hence, whenever the Yankees lose, you will hear stuff from fans who do not like the Yankees.

    It's as simple as that.

Aside from when they are playing the Mets or Angels, I pay little attention to what the Yankees do in the regular season. It's mostly only about the postseason with that team. Then I get really into it.

Mets cap it will be. My current Angels cap was bought over two years ago and is dirty. I don't wear it often these days.
I am very thankful that there are people out there who are concerned about what I wear.

should have won 3? they should have lost today. they should have lost 3 of 4, a split was incredible luck.

At least it wouldn't have been a sweep, like the last team the Angels faced.

Hate it all you want. They went into the 9th tied 1-1 or 0-0. They should have won that game playing at home. And when you win by 5 you "shouldn't have lost". Live with it.

Cakes will wear his New York Giants SB hat tomorrow, since that's his "NFC" team...

I see you also have failed in reading comprehension in this thread. The Saints were mentioned.

I don't bother to attempt to read your posts in this forum.

I did catch that you like 2 teams, in each sport? Since you like Anaheim, I figured you'd for a Giants fan...Guess I was wrong.

Don't you think it's a little strange to have 2 teams? to wear 2 caps? There I teams I will pull for in non-Yankee games but I wouldn't get a cap or a t-shirt and start wearing it after they beat the Mets. That's very strange and yes i truly believe a good portion of Met fans are as happy when the Yanks lose as when the Mets win.

They should have won fri and should have lost yesterday, either way they earned a split against the hottest team in MLB after losing the first 2 games.

Did anyone else notice that bob Sheppard's backup(the Bob Sheppard sound-alike) has ntt been working the games as the PA announcer? Ed Randall(the "talkin' baseball w/ ed Randall" guy) has been doing it. Did they mention it on any of the broadcasts that I missed it? Why did this happen?

It doesn't have to be pretty, but this team pulled off a split against the one team we haven't been able to solve. They're also the best in baseball this year.

Had Pettitte pitched normally, and Mo been solid, we could possibly have swept.

So why don't we see anyone mentioning how great a trade Cashman pulled off involving Marte and Nady? Or do we only talk about him when he supposedly has done nothing of merit? Credit where due, this trade was an amazing steal.

Best thing this weekend was actually the class and support Yankees fans showed Willie Randolph...

He got the respect and recognition that he deserved. Class Organization.

The Angels blew 2 routine double plays, if either of them is made the game ends. So yes you can say they should have lost. it doesn't matter how many runs they score after the error, the point is if even one of those errors doesn't occur the game ends and the yankees lose.

You have no Steve Young argument. Any knowledgeable football fan knows Steve Young was, at the very least, a very good quarterback.

 Keep backpedaling, junc. Maybe eventually you'll say something correct.

Now you're not only wrong, but you're also a liar. You didn't change anything?

First off, where did I say Young wasn't a good QB? I said he was nowhere bear top 3 which is wher YOU said he was and are afraid to back up that statement.

As far as the Met fan thing, you are taking every word literally and thaty's your problem. Most Met fans I come across(be it on this board or real life) are obsessed w/ the Yankees and want them to lose as much, if not more than, as they want the Metws to win. Why is it "great" Met fans like you are on here during Yankee game threads?
