It will be interesting to see who starts. The article mentions that the 'hawks and Titans were going to give Dyson the opportunity to compete for a starting gig. In that the Jets gave him more money, he may not have been guaranteed a starting position.

Also, Strait has been groomed at the nickel for a few seasons now. I would be surprised if he doesn't stay in that position as he seemed to be doing a pretty good job last season.

Barrett needs become a little more consistent, but I think he is a decent #2 CB. With the signing of Dwight, the Jets may like what the see in Miller as a starter...who knows.

I like the idea of competition for starting CB spots in camp/preseason. It will make every work hard the rest of the offseason.

 the espn article was posted 3 times within the span of one minute

i like the signing for the price, not expensive at all, regardless of what the article says, im sure the starting CB jobs will be up for grabs, and I'll guess that Miller will probably win one of them

Nice signing. He's a guy alot of folks on the board, including myself, wanted to see here last year. Could have sworn he was locked up longterm with Seattle though. Anyways, the secondary is looking a bit better now.

yeah He signed one of those one yr deals. It was 5 yr 15 mil? but they gave him alot of money in 1st yr and his SB was low where he was a definite cut.

WOW, how's that for operating in secrecy? I love how things are being run. Keep it up! Solid pickups in Free Agency will allow us to pick BPA in the draft.

What I really like is the fact that Jets' have improved there secondary & this is w/o using the draft yet. They only have room for improvement.

One of my favorite things aobut this signing, is that it came out of NO WHERE!

There haven't even been rumors about him visitin with the Jets, or any real speculation that the Jets were after him. Personally, i didnt believe it when i first read it because it was completely out there, and there was NO RUMORS about it.

Im wondering how the depth chart is gonna look....

Im guessing Strait will play dime and Barrett will be bumped back to nickel. Miller and Dyson will compete for the #1 and #2. But we will have solid depth and be able to play a solid rotation at corner, ala NE Patriots
