Line can be found anywhere throughout the draft, not only round 1. We start with Mangold at 29 and continue from there
You keep talking about INT's. Do you even understand why he had so many when he was with the Titans. I like the signing, but man teams are going to try throwing all over us next season. Though to be fair, the 3-4 helps mask deficiencies in the secondary. He's slightly above average, young, so there's still some hope he can become a really solid #2. Man, I wonder how we'll do in red zone defense, our corners are all very small. We'll see what happens. The one thing I'm happy about is we aren't overspending on FA's this season.
So he got 16 INT's because he sucks? Everyone said Ty Law was in the right place at the right time for those 10 he had this year...why cant the same be said for Dyson?
i'll take a barely average 10 int season any time....imagine if we were good and actually forced teams to throw
nice, now we dont need to pick a corner day 1. there is a god. this kid is fast and good too! way to go tan-gini!
Like many posters have said already...besides the raw talent of dysons...the fact that we heard nothing about his visit just blows me away. Amazing...what a difference a year makes.
i mean it wasnt completely out of nowhere..... Jets | Team remains interested in A. Dyson Tue, 21 Mar 2006 06:27:29 -0800 Rich Cimini, of the New York Daily News, reports the New York Jets remain interested in free agent CB Andre Dyson (Seahawks), who recently visited with the team. we were so focused on the runyan thing that we overlooked it the week b4...it was even posted in a few threads i believe...just didnt get the hype on the site or with the media i agree that i liked that there wasnt the daily anticipation of waiting on the deal to get done or if he was choosing another team(the usual fa experience like with runyan)
just got home....great signing. FINALLY we get to sign a quality player and a starter at that. Slowly but surely folks we're putting a competetive team together. Tangini should finally start getting some respect around the league.
Almost all of our signings have been toward the defense. We could have really decent defense next year. Kimo Von Oelhoffen and Andre Dyson are pretty good additions to any defense. Not to mention Matt Chatham and Monsanto Pope.
idk how i feel about this... i like him better than barrett but i dont see either as a #1, kinda was interested to see what miller has to offer, he'll probably be the nickelback... manginis had no problem getting the most from overachieving corners b4 so this could work
I did see it posted..and in the paper about the "interest" part. When is the last time we were just waiting to either be letdown...or happy about a signing that seemed on its way. After reading that last week...dont know about others...but I heard nothing about it again...thought it was a dead issue.
