Well the Jets did get rid of 30 sales team members this week. Release this video. Had they got to the Superbowl it all would have blown up (in a good way). But they came out soft, thanks Rex. And now are sitting home looking depressed. Could you imagine a week of Rex highlights, Revis, everyone. But i love Rex. Your welcome buddy.
I love Rex and I hope we do get that "home-field advantage" he's talking about but right now its not there yet
This seems like the best thread for this story. Football is finally back! http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/07/25/rex-ryan-is-already-giving-fiery-speeches-again/ While we wait for the NFLPA* Executive Committee to start (and finish) their meeting Monday, we have perhaps the clearest sign yet that football is coming back. Rex Ryan is already trying to rally the troops again. Ryan delivered a “fiery, training camp-type speech” to 150 Jets staffers on Monday morning in New Jersey, according to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com. Ryan spoke after Jets owner Woody Johnson, who promised all staffers that lost wages would be repaid by the team immediately. That news is expected, but welcome. We expect to hear teams around the league to make the same pledge to those staffers who were unfairly punished this offseason by owners who didn’t properly prepare for the lockout.
Excerpts from Rex's speech to the cafeteria staff: "There's gonna be times when the grill cooks are gonna have to pick up the saute cooks, and the salad bar guys will have to pick them both up. That's what it's like to make lunch as a team. We have one goal: Lead the league in fuckin cooks times! So let's go out there and cook like the New York Jets, and not some fuckin slap-dick kitchen. Do you understand what the fuck I wanna see tomorrow??!!! Then go make me my goddamn snack!"
Woody Johnson doesn't get enough credit from the fans. He's a very underrated owner - one of the best current owners in the NFL.
It's funny, I've come to like and respect him more the past 2 years (coinciding with Rex joining the team).
I respected that he used to come out to the parking lots the last season at the Meadowlands during tailgating. A lot of people were pissed at the PSL scam and it must have taken some balls to go into a crowd of drunk people. He was only with one other guy too, and the other guy was older. Not that anyone is gonna jump the billionaire or anything, but it made him appear to not be afraid to interact with fans. I now I have a picture of me and him on my fridge. (Ironic, because I am wearing a 5 dollar bootleg winter hat because it got colder then I thought it would that game)

If they had any clue about how that organization is run, they'd sing his praises constantly. But because his ticket prices aren't as cheap as Leon Hess, they hate him....oh, and he's cheap
