Still not sure how on earth TMZ gets the tape first, or how the exact details didn't come out til now with all those people involved. Is KC still on the hook for his salary? If he ends up a pariah like Rice, it won't matter. If he comes back from this though? Then he's a 24 year old with star talent on the open market (after his suspension). Any chance the Chiefs regret this long-term?
I don't think it's a banned for life offense but in the current climate against men he may never play in the NFL again even if he does he won't be featured the way he was in KC in Andy Reid's offense. He blew it. These guys have to learn that in today's world there are cameras EVERYWHERE.
They still might; a team with Mahomes and Tyreek Hill doesn't just grind to a halt. It is amazing though how between injury, controversy or officiating, a miracle rains down to hurt the main competition in the AFC. I fucking hate this league sometimes.
The RB position has been so devalued in today's game. Even the best ones can be moved at any time. They're viewed as replaceable almost like kickers. 20 years ago the thought of a star back getting released midseason woulda been almost unthinkable.
They have Ware and Williams, they should be fine offensively. Their D will keep them out of the Super Bowl
Love the move actually. If he's a bad guy and a locker room cancer, just get rid of him preserve team rapport and dignity. You have a first ballot HOF'er in Mahomes on the team, and RBs are a dime a dozen anyway. When you have that QB and WRs, just about any RB will do really.
More like when you have all these baloney rules favoring offenses really the passing game/tie one arm behind the defenses back yes any back could do. It's true the RB position has become extremely devalued but why? The demands of the position haven't changed RBs still have to carry the ball 200+ times in a season and that's on the low end a top back could carry it 300+ times, add in receptions, add in blocking in the passing game it's a incredibly physically demanding position. The NFL has all these rules to protect QBs yet RBs are still expected to charge head first into the teeth of the defense play after play after play yet they're viewed as expendable in today's game.
Because they are moving the NFL in the direction of the college game. They want shootouts where the final score is 65-60. Not 13-10 games where QBs get their legs broken in half and slot receivers get concussions cause they are taking so many shots to the head. It is inevitable to end up with this because the medical research into the NFL is scary. It's either this or the game gets shut down eventually. RBs are devalued completely because of what you said. They carry 200-300+ times, take too many shots, and just do too much shit. Means they have about 7-8 prime years, so it's generally frowned upon to use a high draft pick or invest too much money into one when you can just focus on more important factors of today's games--QB, OL/DL, pass rushers, corners, and WRs are all that much more important than an elite back. My prediction is that 10-20 years from now most teams will be built like today's Saints. Superb Offense, mediocre defense. But the mediocre defense that you have is still very good against the rush. Why? Cause you don't want the opponent to milk the clock against you, so you take away the run and you don't care if they score big plays on you because you plan to out shoot them anyway.
Really could care less what that dinosaur thinks. It's not too early to make the prediction based on what that kid has done. There are plenty of mediocre QBs in the hall. He's going to be the MVP runner up in his first year and only because Brees has never won the MVP before.
There are no automatic first down penalties in the running game that's why the position has become so devalued. JMO And I'd cross CB off your must have list. The so called 'shut down cb' is a relic of the past most offenses are so wide open now no team really relies on one WR anymore.
That's the hotel security camera. Hunts boy in the white T shirt steals the girls phone at 1:02 in the video.
