Just watched it last nite (Mets Sunday night) and while it started off slow, what a great great episode. Didn't think they could outdo episode 1, but that was some good stuff. Carol was off the charts good. _
For sure! I watched it yesterday too since the Mets were on. Does anyone have any idea what J.S.S stands for? -- Wow As I wrote it that out, I just realized the note she left Carl stood for the same thing. Just Survive Somehow. I can't believe Morgan is letting all these people go. Fucking kill them. That's it!!!
Actually, the GF really scared me. When Morgan is walking through the streets at the end and he goes into the house--she says "OMG, that's the house with the Armory--Carol told that woman guarding it to start shooting until whomever was out side the door is down" and I fully expected Morgan to bite it. _
I said to my wife,"morgans about to die". I thought the best part of the show was the end, timer goes off, carl pulls the casserole out of the oven and life goes on. Great ending. One of the best eoisodes if the series maybe
Yup. I stopped liking Carl a few seasons in but I must say he's made a huge comeback in my mind and I thought he was very good last night. I'm back to liking him again. _
Carol is so hardcore. I love how she played up the innocent housewife angle but when the shit hit the fan she went hardcore Carol again. One thing: seemed like Morgan and that sort of "leader" of the wolves (if you could call him that) knew each other. Was that someone we should know or is that just a bit of mystery we're going to have to find out about? Going to be interested to see how the next episode goes when Rick and Co. get back to find the devastation and with a huge hoard of zombies coming that way. Should be good times. I guess the people of Alexandria are going to get some target practice sooner than anticipated.
Yeah, Morgan met up with he and one of his cronies out in the wild, Morgan kicked ass and locked them in a car. He should have killed them when he had the chance, so now some of the guilt lies with Morgan. And now that he told the other wolf (wolve?) that the people of Alexandria have guns and that guy got away, more shit is going to happen in the future. _
I haven't warmed up to him quite yet, but that was better. At least he lost that fkn hat I wanted to see him eaten alive for years, lol
Carol is my favorite character. I love her character development. How she went from victim to absolute bad-ass. I'm sure Morgan has his reasons for turning into a pacifist but I don't care. He's annoying me, and when the wolf member picked up a gun I was hoping he'd shoot Morgan.
Morgan had a run-in with the Wolves before, but I don't recall the details any longer. There were two dudes against him, but did he kill them or let them go? Was this 'leader' dude one of them? I think he might have been, but I'm not certain. It has been months since I saw the episode and it isn't on my DVR any longer.
Just tell her that you're a lesbian trapped in a man's body. Shoot, I'd give it a try..... in that world humanity MUST be reproduced and I'd want to do my part to save humanity.
So I liked the episode as well, but in my opinion this group needs military training and organization. Nothing terribly sophisticated, but what to do in case of a wall breach, fall back plans, and the equivalent of 'battle stations.' That way when an attack happens people can go immediately to certain positions where they might be needed. At the same time, some portion of the Alexandrian population needs to be composed of a rapid reaction force to contain and react to any attack. This applies to human and zombie breaches. Everyone should ALWAYS be armed. In effect this little town needs to start operating under the reality that they are a society under siege. The enemy may not have been, literally, at the gates before but they are now and it is too late. If they survive this they MUST adapt and militarize. In addition to the above, they will need to expand weapons training beyond guns. Unless they can replicate a decent quality of modern gunpowder and press new ammunition--not out of the question but a difficult and ambitious undertaking given the circumstances--they will need to cope with the idea that their guns will become increasingly worthless as each type runs out of ammunition. This means bow training, machetes, knives, anything (if it'll save your life train to kill with a damn spork). They will need to literally get medieval on people's asses.... where's Quentin Tarantino when you need him, eh?
