I am a pretty big fan, my plan is to keep it in it's original packaging and hold it for at least a 5-10 years. It is a limited edition, only 250 of this design made, but some still available for $499. I figure once they are all sold and as people start playing them, a new in original packaging one may bring a few bucks.

Good job my man! It is nice to see a Jets fan WIN something.

Btw, neat guitar. You gotta get that sucker signed by the cast at some of those public events.

Man, if you do then you are just one lucky SOB. OTOH, if you get to take someone along let me be the first to say that I've always been there for you my friend. How could you say "no" to such a close friend? ;)

I think my wife would look upon that as grounds for divorce, she is a bigger Walking Dead fan than I am.

It took too long and pretty much everyone figured it out.

The wall falling down happens in the comics, but I'm interested to see how they resolve it as I feel it will be slightly different. Hopefully we don't get a huge cliffhanger.

If Carl was going to die he would have gotten shot before the end of the episode.

I remember watching that POS movie the village, and after the twist and the end being infuriated. Not because it was stupid, but because it was dependent not on clever storytelling but a bullshit filmmaking contrivance that made no logical sense -- the elders reverting their language to old English. There is no reason in the story to do this because the kids they raise would gave no idea that they were in modern times because they wouldn't know the difference. It was done simply to fool the audience. It was a filmmaking tactic that made zero sense in the story but was necessary for the bullshit story to work, which is why it's bullshit.

Same with Glenn's "death." There was no reason to for him to be screaming then laying his head back unless he was dying, other than to fool the audience.

    100%

    It was a gimmick.

Look, I'm happy Glenn is back because I love his character.

But at some point the good guys have to die in the zombie apocalypse.

Most of the "characters" in Alexandria are Ensign Jones from Star Trek, who was always the one you knew would get killed by whatever alien they encountered on whatever planet they were visiting. The people in Alexandria exist solely to carry on the idea that zombies are dangerous and can kill people.

Instead of red shirts I think the show runners should have all the expendable peeps wear flannel. My wife has already predicted the next death: the carpenter dude who is coming around to be on Rick's side. Whenever a side character suddenly becomes either friendly or hostile to a main character and gets some dialogue they are usually the next to die. But so long as they stay in they nebulous neutral zone of ambivalent main character affection and/or say almost nothing, they usually live.

The wonderful thing is this carpenter guy is wearing flannel.... so it's all coming together. The "flannel shirts" are expendable people!

EDIT: excuse me while I ditch my flannel before the zombie apocalypse comes....

I'm on record here as trying to explain story telling devices. I do this for a lot of reasons: it is fun, it makes watching more fun, it helps fill in the gaps in the story, etc.

Despite all of this, I think the whole Glenn/Nicholas event is one of the most contrived piece of writing and storytelling I have seen in awhile. As you noted, the whole thing is just plain constructed simply for the purpose of jerking the audience around. But here is my problem: why not try to create a situation that is less contrived? There are ways Nicholas might have even gone out a hero (if they wanted that) and saved Glenn to make up for Nicholas's own multiple humongous previous failings AND still managed to maintain the possibility that Glenn may not have made it out.

Here's an example: Nicholas and Glenn get trapped in an alley with an flimsy, open door. The door cannot be locked, so one of them would have to hold it shut for the other one to make an escape and get a minute or two head start. Nicholas stays and dies a hero.

Maybe they want to keep the suspense, right? So let's keep the same example I gave as above: they both try to hold flimsy door only to have the weight of the zombies crash it in and start to swarm. Scene ends there and it is probably they are both dead..... weeks later the scene picks up. With Glenn unconscious underneath collapsed door and Nicholas drawing away zombie horde down the street until he is overwhelmed and killed. Hours later Glenn wakes up to find that he was covered by the door and Nicholas has saved him.

To me THIS scenario is more believable than the shit they pulled and I only put about two minutes into this story writing.... so where is my Emmy!?

What a joke. Look, I liked Glenn but him surviving that shit is unbelievable. What is Nicholas the same exact size as Glenn? He just happened to land the same way as Glenn on the floor covering his body?! There is no way possible for the walkers to just grab Nicholas and eat him. Give me a break. I know it's a show but just unbelievable.

I hope that emo kid gets killed. Fuck him. I used to hate little winey Carl but he's grown on him. I'll be pissed if he dies.

A little foreshadowing maybe on this next point. Carol says to Sam that if you don't kill you become a monster.. I think he kills someone to save another.. I really thought he was going to end up killing a human but now I am believing he saves someone since the wall came crashing down.
