lol, but in all fairness this is a classic case of stats being deceiving. You could get an alert giving his numbers thinking he had a great game, but in reality his yards and one of his scores was more a result of really nice blocking and him running to the outside.
Oh yeah don't get me wrong, Jones didn't play particularly well today. But it is funny that the poster called him out for not being a good goalline back and not being able to bust big runs, and his two touchdowns were 1 yard and 38 yards.
Most running backs are successful because of great run blocking. The exceptions are few and far between.
... it was me who made that post and i stand by it ... ... yeah, he hit 2 great runs late ... with the entire game (minus 1 play) falling in the jets favor ... he had done nothing up until then ... ... do you not think leon is going to take more touches away from him this season ... ... once greene gets some practice reps do you not think he will take some touches away? ... ... do you think t-j will match last years stats? ... ... do you truly believe he excels in goal-line situations? ... ... i don't ... ... i hope i'm proved wrong and he goes for 1700 yards and 12 tds this years ... just odds-wise don't see it happening ... l_j_r
I love this.... if I knew how to do it I think it' be my new sig... "If Chuck Norris and the Dos Equis Man magically created some human god, even he could not shut down Andre Johnson " - Thanks Texas Sam
Was there an Amber Alert on Steve Slaton too? Wasnt he the second leading rusher in the AFC last year or something. 9 touches for 27 yards. SHUT DOWN!
