Am I the only one who wants McElroy to be given a shot?

It's not that I don't like Tebow. He's just not a running back. He can create plays in space. Just because a player can run, that doesn't mean they should be a back.

Greene has burst, he lacks vision. Don't think he should be starting either, but comparing the 2 players is apples and oranges. Greene is a banger running back, and needs to be behind someone else. However, that guy is more likely Powell then Tebow. You want a RB, give Grimes a shot.

This team already has too many square pegs in round holes.

McElroy is Pennington 2.0 Smart player but has a little girl's arm. If he had the physical tools of Sanchez I think he would be a very good QB.

You think the Jets have no plan but you have nothing to back that statement up. It's a baseless statement that you think is right. You throwing it out there as if it's a fact tells me a lot.

Most of us have seen both McElroy and Tebow play. They both have huge flaws that are impossible to miss unless you have no idea what you're looking at. Saying there is no basis for criticism of either of them is a joke.

Sanchez looked much better against the Texans than he did against the previous 3 weeks if you want to talk about "visually".

I think McElroy has a weaker arm than Pennington did after his surgeries.

Pennington also made multiple Pro Bowls. If it wasn't for injuries, Pennington would probably STILL be our starter.

EDIT: WTF?!?! Just looked, and he NEVER made one? I was always under the assumption he made one with Miami and one with us?

If by multiple pro bowls you mean zero pro bowls you are correct.

Enlighten me...Which regular season game has Tebow or McElroy started for the Jets?

My point exactly. Again zero basis for any criticism as a Starting QB for the NY Jets. If you say you have some, then you're just a flat out liar.

And Sanchez still sucked against the Texans. So saying he played better than the 3 previous games is like saying he went from really shitty to only kinda shitty. He had another Red Zone turnover which is a cardinal sin for any good QB, especially in a game that was decided by less than a TD.

Your argument is weak at best. Tell me all the great attributes you see in Sanchez this year or last if you're so hard up for him to be our franchise Qb.

If the Jets do have a plan then I'd like to see it because it clearly has not worked through 5 games this season.

No, we don't. Sparano has been OC for a month. Where all of his offensive targets have yet to see the field together.

How many picks this season, are off of a receivers hands?

I was there. He didn't suck. You cannot blame the QB for balls bouncing off receivers.

If that is true that is a death sentence. No one wants to give a starting job to a QB who can't throw the ball 40 yards. It sucks because I really think he has the other tools to be a good QB. He's accurate too.

You don't need to see them play in a regular season game as a Jet to have seen the obvious massive flaws they have. This isn't difficult to understand.

The redzone turnover was just a good play by the defense. I don't think you understand football too well.

Please show me one post where I said Sanchez was great? You tell me my argument is weak but you don't even seem to understand what I'm arguing. Your understanding is weak.

I saw every snap he took as well. He did suck. Stop blaming the receivers as they don't throw the ball, Sanchez does. You act as if this is an isolated incident. His inaccuracy on his passes happens all game long.

I totally agree McElroy should be given a shot. We know what Sanchez is - he's leading us nowhere. Tebow can't throw. Let's see what we got in McElroy. I bet we'd be surprised.

I've played and coached football at a higher level than you could ever dream of so if anyone doesn't understand football it's you.

Then how else could you possibly evaluate Tebow or McElroy if you haven't seen them start a game as the QB of the Jets? You seem to find this very difficult to understand. This is the only way to fairly evaluate them. Anything else means jacksh*t. They have to actually play a game for the Jets to make a fair critique of them. You follow?

So then answer the question. Tell me all these good, not great, attributes you see in Mark Sanchez as our franchise QB. I'm waiting....You clearly are defending him. So back it up as you say with facts from his play this season.

By the way, the red zone turnover was completely his fault. You don't make that throw or you adjust your throw or you slide in the pocket if there's a defender in your face. QB University 101. His fault, Sanchez apologist.

The only sample we have of his play is against 2nd and 3rd stringers in pre-season games.
Who knows, maybe he's a diamond in the rough. My guess is that our future quarterback is playing on
    Saturdays right now.

Please share, I'm dying to know. You must have been a terrible coach if you aren't full of shit.

Again, it's easy to see their OBVIOUS flaws having watched them play. You don't need to see McElroy play in a live game to see that his arm strength is fucking weak. C'mon coach - you don't see it? You haven't seen the ridiculously poor accuracy from tebow and javalin throwing motion? C'mon coach!

Try reading what I've already written to understand what I'm arguing, which CLEARLY isn't that Sanchez is even good.

It was a shotgun, quick slant. The receiver was open and the pass appeared on target. JJ Watt made a great play. There was no defender in his face. C'mon coach!

There's no way you were ever a coach unless it was for a pop warner team.

Dude, stick to soccer. It suits you with all the conjecture and hypothetical "on target" passes lol

Even if I told you who I coached for, you'd still be dumbfounded so not worth my time.

You won't get different results with McElroy in. Seriously, with no offensive weapons and a shit offensive line I'm not sure what you'd expect to get out of anyone playing quarterback for this team. The level of ignorance on this board is simply amazing. I almost refuse to believe anyone would be this clueless.

Please point out the defender in his face, coach.
