Oh oh...Looks like Klatt is slowly coming to the dark side [a.k.a. pro-Allen]? I think Klatt may have gone back and watched some more tape. He also has Allen ahead on Mayfield on his mock. He's a sneaky SOB; just a few weeks ago he was sounding like a Allen hater. I guess he thought no one would notice. The man is talking out the both side of his mouth.
Interesting, I think he’s talked to too many NFL people at this point to rank Allen lower (which he wanted to do), also Rosen who he loved is slipping due to injury concerns... Not sure what is better sticking to ur guns based on what u believe, or revising ur opinion because people who u trust are telling u that u got it wrong. Seems the latter is what is happening...
I have a feeling it's more than injury concerns with Rosen. He's got a good arm, silky smooth mechanics, intelligent, ready to start day 1 etc. Rosen is slipping for something that rubbed teams the wrong way during his interviews. Character/long term committment concerns etc
I think with Rosen it's 3 things. Long term durability, too many outside interests or lack of football being his singular driving focus in life, and immaturity issues. We will not know and likely we will never know about the all three. we can only speculate as to why he is allegedly dropping although we do see evidence in his statements of the latter two issues. It could be he does not slip. It only takes one team to like him to get him drafted. But in 84 hours we should know whether he really is dropping or whether it was team's putting out false information.
One thing for sure, his sudden defending of Allen had to make Coherd's head spin. Not too long ago he was on Coherd's show sounding like one of those CMP% = accuracy idiots. Now he's regurgitating stuff I've been saying on this board for weeks.
I will support any QB the Jets take. I would be open to Allen, but I would also be very concerned with him busting. To me, he has the highest bust potential. I also see him as a terrible fit for the West Coast Offense which is based on accuracy, anticipation, touch, timing and I just think he lacks these.

The Jets traded 4 draft picks for 1 draft pick. Let's be clear on that. Post by: legler82, Mar 19, 2018 in forum: New York Jets
I see Cimini wrote his annual "what does Joe Namath think?" draft article. 30 years running the same draft week hot take. FWIW, Namath likes Mayfield
I see it, but I just don't see him as a fit in that scheme. I could be wrong, but that is just my opinion. He scrambles all over the place like a chicken with its head cut off. That doesn't fit the offense as it is a timing/rhythm passing game. https://sportsnaut.com/2017/10/watch-wyoming-qb-josh-allen-runs-backwards/ This is just one play, but this is the kind of crap I see when I watch him. (Running 20 yards behind the LOS)
He scrambles all over the place like a chicken with head cut-off because it literally is about to get cut-off behind his crappy line a lot of the times...LOL. BTW have you ever Elway play?
Yeah, I thought you might point to his bad oline play. He scrambles even when he doesn't need to. Like I said, I will support the pick if it is made, but I would worry about him becoming successful.
That play was massively Geno-esque. He was playing New Mexico for god sake. We can talk about how bad his OL and supporting cast are, but the kid wasn't playing Clemson, Bama, Georgia, etc. He was playing bottom of the barrel shit teams. He played bottom of the barrel shit teams and still managed to be a sub-par QB.
There's a stat out there (too lazy to find it) that says Allen was under pressure on well over 70% of his pass plays. I can't blame him if he sometimes over reacts to pressure that isn't there on those 20+%.
I get that, but in and of itself, that type of pressure can trigger bad habits that will be incredibly hard to coach out of him.
That stat bothers me..sometimes you just have to take the hit and sometimes you just have to react fast enough and get the ball out to the hot receiver. I don't think it's a good sign to always be running around like a fool no matter how bad your OL is.
that doesn't make any sense whatsoever. IF you watch the games you see a guy completing 56% of his passes anyway. So how is it a ridiculous criticism to cite what happened? Maybe that's why Parcells fired Kirwan's ass when he got here
