I present my info and people can do w/ it what they want. are you not reading this back and forth? I shred to pieces each new excuse he posts. Nothing personal, I don't know him in real life. I hope he is successful and happy but when I see nonsense posted I will tear it apart whether here or the Favre discussions or whatever.

i actually agree with you on this point. to a certain extent.

the lengths that you go to defend your position though makes me end up disagreeing with you to a certain extent.

i cant grasp why you refuse to allow someone to put a guy they enjoyed watching up on a bit of a pedestal even though he maybe wasnt that good. it wasnt like he was terrible. he was good, he was a good jet. he led a team that was fun to watch. and he will get over rated by alot of folks because of those reasons.

he wasnt an all time anything, but most guys arent claiming that. the most they say is he was an all time great jets qb, which isnt really a big long list of guys. agree or disagree its a matter of opinion. its like you feel that if you dont continuously defend your position that people will feel you were wrong.

to say you cant say that because he didnt win playoff games is being obtuse. just make the argument and let people have theirs. the site isnt here to have to argue about everything. sometimes we just have to laugh and say man this guy is a fool and move on.

that said i applaud your thoroughness. i dont always agree with your assessment, but you put far more effort into trying to prove your point than i would ever bother to on a website.

it's not about not allowing others to discuss a player they enjoyed, I appreciate every player that has put on a Jets uni and tried to help our team win and Ken was my absolute favorite player as a kid and I still think highly of him BUT that doesn't mean I have to lie about him. should I ignore others when they are inflating him? maybe but what fun would that be? I post honest, informed opinions and I try to back them up, sometimes I ruffle feathers, it's ok. the thing about Ken is I was there at every game as a kid, I saw how hated he was so to see people pretend like he was a great Jet and beloved I don't feel people are being honest. Ken would be getting the Kyle Wilson treatment from folks on here if he had the same career in this era(then I'd be defending him).
