But I guess Pat Ryan did not, which is why his number is virtually identical to O'Brien's, thus flushing your argument that the only reason O'Brien was sacked so much was because he held onto the ball, completely down the crapper.

Thanks for playing. You may begin your temper tantrum now.

3 1/2 more pass attempts per sack is not virtually identical.

I don't believe you have any recollection of watching Ken O'Brien play outside of that one nice youtube highlight reel.

temper tantrum? from, our resident baby who cries over everything. seriously? you crack me up.

Top 1 or 2 in every major statistical category for QBs.

That's an all time Jet right there.

he played the longest and he's absent in the most important category. he has as many playoff wins as Bubby Brister, Geno Smith, Brooks Bollinger, Browning Nagle, Kyle Mackey, Rick Mirer, ...

Good Lord - Just three years with the Jets and Thomas Jones is #7 all time rushing?!?!

    He was so under-appreciated.

Junc is just upset that Namath handily beats out Sanchez in every important category.

It tells us that Ken O'Brien had as many game-winning drives in his career as Joe Namath had in his career.

The Only NY Jet statistic that matters is number one fan and most intelligent team commentary. Current record holder: nyjunc. Bask in his glory.

I was talking about Namath, but now that I look at it--if you're statistically in the top 2 in a franchise's history in every major category for Quarterbacks like O'Brien is--you are by definition an all time great.

But I saw him play so I know he was an all time great, I don't need stats. Spun either way.

Considering our history of QBs, trying to argue O'Brien is not one of the greatest QBs in Jets history is either being naive, contrarian or intentionally obtuse.

Forget about Kenny O. What's truly sad is that if Shonn Greene had stuck around for another season, he'd very possibly be in or near the top five RBs. I am going for a drink now.

    which means what?

in less than half the games he has only 4 less GW drives.

prorate games played to Namath and Mark would have: 26
    proratte to O'Brien games: 24

Mark also has double the amount of playoff wins that Joe and Ken have combined.

all time great and one of the best are 2 very different arguments. we haven't had ANY great QBs so to call one an all time great is silly.

Hmmmm, I'd have bet Mark Sanchez would've been on a "top 3" list - and definitely on a "top 5" list. I guess not.

If you look the number of game winning drives that Joe Namath had, and you compare that number to the number of game winning drives that Ken O'Brien had, you will see that the two numbers are exactly the same!

Kenny O'Brien is an all time great Jet.

Maybe not an all time great QB, but considering our history of QBs, O'Brien is an all time great Jet.
