    1. I dont feel like making any real judgments till i hear from the Jets.

    2. This is hopefully my last post in a Nnamdi thread till we face him or some details of the negotiations comes out.

    Its a big weight lifted.

I have to respectfully disagree here. If Tanny had dropped out before this thing was over, none of us would have been happy either. If Nnamdi and his agent told the Jets he was strongly considering their offer but he just wanted some more time to make what was basically the biggest decision of his life, it was Tanny's job to go for it. Players like this don't come along too often, and I'm glad Tanny gave us a fighting chance at him. We don't know what went on behind the scenes anyway; who knows, maybe Nnamdi was set on taking the Jets offer before the Eagles swept in at the 11th hour today and swooped him away. There was no reason for Tanny to pull out, he wouldn't have gained anything by doing so, and he didn't lose anything by staying in. Plan B, Braylon and Cro, are still available, so what was wrong with shooting for the stars with Plan A? Dropping out earlier wouldn't have made things any easier with Bray and Cro, the flirtation with Nnamdi still would have been a factor anyway.

I just hope we don't go after Samuels - he will want 10m a year and cost a high draft pick - it would be like getting fleeced by the eagles twice

It has to be cro or carr

    He's not a corner.

    He's a gambling, off-man phony.

    Rex knows this

    He won't come here.

As a Pastes fan, you would probably be more comfortable giving the city of Philadelphia head.

Of course you don't. I don't either, mainly because neither of us was involved in private negotiations and don't know any of the valid situational details. We were both likely sitting in front of a computer, clicking Refresh every thirty seconds and hoping for some news, any news, and mainly settling for profoundly unreliable Twitter posts upon which we have based the majority of our meager and vague understanding of the situation.

Let us not pretend that Mike Tannenbaum is a babe in the woods when it comes to contract negotiations. He is far more adept at it than you or I have likely been at anything in our lives. He just happened to take a business risk that, as a rarity, he did not come out on top of.

The rest is just fan frustration and projected insecurities. Time to move on.

Just to make sure - I meant that about Asante Samuels. I dunno if you know that or if you think I was talking about Nnamdi. So I'm double checking

To me he's just not as good as his numbers make him out to be.

Some of you act as if his decision was an easy one.
There are a lot of factors that go into making a gigantic decision like this.
I'd love to see some of the posters breaking Asomugha's balls about taking his time put themselves in his shoes. Picking up everything and changing your life...this is something some of would do in the span of 24 to 48 hours? No teams could legally contact him during the lockout, so he may have had time to think about it, but until teams could go after him, he has no idea what's exactly going on.
And, the Jets have themselves to blame too. Although, when you have a chance to get a player with his kind of talents, you kind of have to wait it out. Tanny will work this out, he has every other time since he's been the GM, so stop worrying. I'm not saying I'm going to get an Eagles number 21 jersey, but jesus, some of you take this a little too close to heart.

We've been spoiled and now the fanbase feels there's a sense of entitlement when it comes to free agents.

Agreed. I'm fucking sick of the Asomugha threads. How anyone can be "pissed" at him blows my mind.

He chose somewhere else, a team that's a clear favorite in the NFC to boot (behind Green Bay who's better?). It fucking happens. He didn't cheat us or anything...and considering how the Jets FO is if they have a deal in principle with somebdoy you know they're leaking that shit.

best case senario is that KW has a breakout season at the other corner. Perhaps he learned something from last year like say, turning his head around to look for the ball now and then while in man coverage. The Jets had high hopes for this kid and I think they still do. Hopefully he'll show us something in camp.
