Doesn't matter if they copied the buttons (which is highly similar to most consoles anyway,) look at the shape of the dreamcast controller, what do you do with it? Haha
I bought it this afternoon n unfortunately will be returning it soon. The game just moves so slow n isnt as much fun as i thought it would be. Graphics are average at best
glad to hear someones opinion. my initial excitement for the game was mostly a repercussion of my distain for EA, but the more I saw of the game the less I wanted to play it, nevertheless buy it. I think a good football game can be made without the NFL license, but "All-Star" teams of retired greats I am not certain is the way.
I disagree, the original PS2 controller with the rumble was the best. The joysticks are not as good as the XBOX360 controller, but as for size and the shape and accessability of buttons, it is the PS2.
I have nothing to do today so I will play all pro today n see if my impressions improve. I will do a little write up later
Sorry to hear it was terrible. I never cared for any 2K games because the defensive side of the game drove me nuts. The offense was fun but I kept getting burned till one day I swung my controller like a bolo and destroyed it (JK). I sold my unit for 150 soon after that.
You do know that (Unlike Madden) you can change the gameplay speed. I have Mine on fast and have No issues with the speed. IMO - The Graphics have incredible texture and are smooth but need to be touched up a little. We all knew this already though. - The Stadiums are ridiculous and very realistic looking. - The X's & O's kick Madden in the Ass and this one seems harder to me (That's good 4 me) - The cutaway scene's while they look good the content is cheezey. - Just the fact that you have to set your feet to pass and be more accurate sums it up. - A totally customizable experience. Playbook, Uniforms, Players, playstyle. That gives me total control In Madden, running back 30 yards and heaving a strike off of your back leg 50 yds downfield? No thanks! If this is your 1st 2k game and are not used to the X's & O's actually working then it'll be hard @ 1st but I guarantee you that if you play this an go back to Madden all you will be saying in the EA game is "That's Bulkshit"! This game is Very Good. Not Great probably because they were out the game for 3 yrs. I give it an 8.0/8.5
Yeah they really need to get rid of all that bullshit in Madden where you take Vick or McNabb and sprint backwards after the snap then stand there and find a wide open player.....they have to know people do that shit so...
I bought the day it came out.. Still on the fence of just trading it in for NCAA.. I do have Ben "Winter" Coates on my team.. He's nasty..
I don't know what Madden you're playing, but you can't do that anymore.... I think you have a heavy anti-Madden bias. Madden added 2 years ago the feature that made it so that you have to set your feet to be accurate. If you don't set your feet, the QB falls back and the ball goes into the middle of the field usually, doesn't spiral well, and floats much more than you tried to make it.
Just traded mine in.. Damm... EB Games raped me. Only gave me a $30 credit towards madden.. :breakdance:
I think retail was $60. That's why you never buy a sports game w/o doing some research(game reviews & such). Sports games get squat in trade-ins.
