Deon Simon was the biggest surprise to me. They probably didn't think he would clear waivers so they had to keep him.

Also really surprised with 10 OL on the roster but no backup C.

That's what having a qb can do.

Maccagnan will not go into the season with 10 OL and 5 WRs, just wait and see how this whole thing plays out and what's his plan.

okay so who the hell is our Kick Returner?

I'm not overly broken up by Owusu being gone despite his talent given his concussion history, but who's our KR? we have 6 WR's, 4 RB's plus T-Bo and nobody to do that task.

I mean do we need this many lineman?

They're going to have one more roster spot tomorrow when Milliner goes on IR. I think they're gambling that either Powell or Owusu will clear waivers and they'll be able to add one tomorrow to take Milliner's spot to be their returner. I think they'll also cut Dozier tomorrow to add a backup Center (maybe Dalton Freeman who has been cut by the Bills). They'll probably add another TE tomorrow also.

    It's a numbers game..

You got your locks in Marshall and Decker.

Kerley just got an extension last year, I don't know what the cap charge to cut him is, but with his contract I'm sure it makes more sense to keep him.

They aren't going to cut their second round pick in Smith. They think he has potential and they will give him time to prove what he is worth.

Enunwa is more of the prototypical tweener they need for this offense, especially with Amaro on IR.

The depth at other positions were really good this year and they most likely wanted to retain those players more than they wanted to initially keep either Powell or Owusu.

    You can't have them all.

Very likely. They need WR help bad. He would be a great addition.

Mac is maybe keeping the guys he thinks have more value and can use in trades. The reason they're keeping so many O-linemen. Maybe he wants to trade for a tight end. Things will change over the next couple of days.

Macc just brought in 3 or 4 WRs to try out a day ago. Maybe one of them can return kicks? Can't even remember who they were but one was a quick little guy cut by Cleveland b/c they already have a bunch of quick little guys. This time frame is where GMs are made or ruined.....let it play out!

Owusu looked good in preseason, but the guy has a lot of concussions already. 4? 5?
