At the end of June I weighed 252, today I weigh 221. If you try you can lose weight, My goal is to get down to around 200-210, I dont believe I'm this close.
no bullshit that's what happened to my buddy...kid lost like 100lbs He told me since his car went to shit, he walks everywhere, and walks to work in the city n shit
The closer we get to achieving our primary goals, the more likely we tend to switch to achieving secondary(conflicting) goals. Basically, don't let off the pedal! Good job.
So far, this is some serious shit. If you follow the workouts and don't act like a slapdick, I can definitely see how this melts you in half. I've been pretty sore since day 1, but I can't wait to do it again tonight. So far, so good.
Yeah it's ridiculous how much random exercise you can get when your only option is to walk. The other night I made taco's and realized I didn't have any cheese in the apartment so I ended up walking about a mile round trip to get some. Little thing's like that add up after awhile.
How can you get back on track after you fall off your plan? I went from 260 to 195 as you might remember, but now I am back to 215 and I am fearing going back to my former 260. I dunno how to get back on track.
Just do it man. Yesterday I just said "Screw it" and went hard core back into my routine. I hurt like hell, but I see as punishment for being lazy these past couple of months.
I got Karmic Retribution for the whole Mevi$ thing. Working out like a maniac, getting back on the horse...coaching up my 10 Y.O. for soccer, calf strain...FCOL. You just can't duplicate playing conditions :rofl2:
We've decided to move it up a week. Tonight will be day #1, not looking forward to tomorrow morning. Are you also following the diet plan?
Hahaha, yeah. I went to "Back to School" night with my oldest last week. He just started high school and it's a sizable school and he has classes that literally go from one side of the school to the other, and up and down the stairs. By the end of the night my legs were on fire. Like you said, just can't duplicate playing conditions!
I might also try p90x soon as I really need to get my cardio better and this also helps overall strength. I might start in about a month as too many parties are coming up soon so it will be harder to work out then but Im hoping November-Feb I can do the 90 day workout and hopefully be back in shape.
Ok, the deed has been done. And now I want to eye gouge the fucker who came up with this program... I haven't pushed myself that hard since my days of HIGHSCHOOL football. I actually threw up twice during the session. Once for the main workout, then once in the middle of the abs add-on. I clearly underestimated how hard this was, and I pushed myself too hard too fast. Listen to the video when it tells you to ease into it, that would have saved me a lot of heartache. Now I have plyometics tomorrow, which is supposed to be even harder
Can any of you guys recommend some good running shoes? I'm getting back into running for cardio since the weather is great here, but about 8 to 10 minutes into my run, my feet hurt like a bitch. I don't have flat feet or anything like that. The pain isn't in my heels either, so it's not plantar fasciitis - I'm pretty sure I just have shitty running shoes. I have to wear dress shoes on a consistent basis to work, so that might have something to do with it? Like I said though, I'm trying to run outside...on sidewalks and streets...so it's a hard surface. Any good info would be appreciated.
Nike Lunar.. They are light as all hell and the sole is similar to that of a moon boot. Check em out.
One, Stiletto heels while dressy are bad for your feet. (j/K!!!!) However... As our good friends above point out, I've also loved Nike products exclusively for both comfort, and longevity when working out...I've given up running for the Elliptical but when I still ran (though in the gym) 5 miles a day, A pair of Nike shoes would last me a couple years at least. I will say, as an aside..that the Reebok Zig product looked like they would be very comfy... (I was just buying shoes the other day..got a neat pair of Adidas Kanada TR's for casual wear..) Good Luck with it Bro! Stay Strong!
I bought a pair of Asics Lightning last week (175 bucks).....best heel support i've ever had in a shoe, Electric. They were recommended to me by a podiatrist (because i'm diabetic, i have to take care of my feet as best I can)......I've used them at the gym and on the treadmill....amazing shoes. I'm 240 lbs...so there's a lot of force coming down on my shins/feet while i'm running. here's a pic of them
