By the way Alio I have made an adaptation to my running.....I am now doing sprints/jogging on an indoor track. I talked to a buddy who is a trainer there and a Kin major, and he was talking about spiking the heart rate and metabolism by sprinting, then jogging to keep it high, then sprinting again, etc.

So, I start off jogging then I spring the first straightaway, then jog until I get back arouns to the beginning of that straight away and sprint it again, and so on. Basically I am trying to spring one straightaway on each lap. I do this as many times as I can.....so far the most I can do is 5, then I usually take a break and and havea drink, then start jogging again adn jog like 5 more laps. My goal is to be able to get up to 10 of these sprint/jog laps...after I can do that we'll see what's next.....maybe sprinting 2 straightaways and jogging the bend...I dunno....

No kidding....I remember first year in university some guys on my floor were playing intramural Ultimate Frisbee and were short a player so I said I would go, the first throw I tried to make down the field, the shoulder popped (not out, but like that painful popping feeling).

Lets see, what else....well people think I throw like a girl because if I am tossing a football or baseball I have to do it all from the elbow and can't really wind up and come over the top.

It is so bad that is I am reaching into the back of the fridge to grab something or if I reach into the back seat of my car without turning my whole body around I can feel it starting to go and have to stop...I remember the one time I went to physio and the therapist was trying to test my range of motion and kept having to tell me to stop resisting because every time she'd extend my arm into the positions where it would give out, I was trying to pull it back.

Basically I am confined to below should height sports, so golf, hockey, squash, corn-holing......if I play football and baseball I really have to take it easy...

So, earlier today at the gym, I lost my concentration staring at this blazing hot chick walking by and dropped a 45 lb plate on my big toe while trying to stack a machine. Now I have a hematoma that hurts like shit.

Bitch owes me big time. Fucking cunt.

So do something else. Just weight train. Or do a bodyweight workout. Something, anything.

That's a big key, is not outright skipping days. I don't know if you have an off-day scheduled during the week (I don't, I work out every day,) but if you do, you would have to use this skip day in it's place. If yesterday was your off-day, then there's no skip day available to you.

If you want results, you have to be willing to work. If you start skipping, you're going to get into that habit, and it'll be the end of it all.

So even if you don't want to run tonight, do something else. Hell, I don't run at all. But on days when I don't feel like a full body bodyweight workouts, I just do a truckload of reps with the dumbells. Every day I do something.

BICEPS.....lately I have been workign Biceps twice a week and its freakin awesome...they feel huge after every workout, but htey not exacly huge yet...although I think if I keep doing this they will be...

Basically, I read a webpage on one of the bodybuilding website and have adapted this based on that.....

    So I do:

3 sets of 10, standing bar curls

    then

3 sets of 10 inclined curls (sit on an inclined bench and let your arms hang, then do a full curls....it is a KILLER but really pumps them)

    then

3 sets of 10 or whatever I can get - standing hammer curls....at the end I have to cheat to get the weights up but I do negatives to finish them off

It is great....it takes a while but I force myself to get through it....hopefully the results will be noticeable after a few more weeks...

Just wanted to say I am on 3 weeks of mainly water as my drink.

This is amazing to me since I have lived on Pepsi my entire life.

Say no to High Fructose Corn Syrup.

I haven't really had any days off in the last month... moving into a new stadium in a short season league is a long long and draining process. Thankfully I'll get some much needed rest this weekend but I've managed to lose 13 lbs in about 2 weeks combining proper eating, grunt work (painting an entire OF fence) and finding some time to run on the treadmill (I ran 3 miles last night) and I am just starting to get into it. I do think I am pushing myself too much as I haven't run that far in about 8 years and I was running 10 minute miles. I'll be back on the treadmill with some new songs on my Ipod ready to go.

Yeah, I usually worked out though. However, I eat like the normal guy, and I am overweight. The clear reason was my soda intake. Too bad it took me this long to realize it though.

    I was tricked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been trying to avoid HFCS this entire time and it was right under my eyes. (and in my mouth)

I didn't know it was in Ketchup and BBQ sauce. I must of missed that somewhere.

Oh well, I am cutting back on that now too, not using as much per meal where I use them.

So far this has been going great. I even feel better. Could be my mindset though.
