If he can hold them down here to 3 runs and nothing more the 2nd and 3rd time through the order the yanks will put some runs on the board. I'm still confident down 3.
That wasn't the point, just like saying no manager has ever set his rotation only concerned with the last three games wasn't the point. And to once again put this argument to bed, it's meaningless, because Burnett won't see the field at all if he can in any way put the Yankees in danger (which would even include pitching a Game 3 with the series tied 1-1).
Pettite is pitching game 3 but I think even down 2 games to 1 burnett will pitch. Only if their down 3-0 will CC start game 4. Infact Girardi pretty much said that.
If CC can battle through this and keep them at 3, I feel confident we'll get to Wilson. They've just missed quite a few pitches. Although games in Texas have been rough this year, I'm still not that nervous.
