I have a problem with all of the voting. the fan voting, the player voting, AND the manager voting. like the NFL. serious problem there, although the Pro Bowl is pretty much meaningless. I also agree that the "every team must have a player" rule is stupid. The Devil Rays have like eight fans, and probably none of them watch the All Star game anyway.
First Base: Morneau, J., MIN Second Base: Cano, R., NYY Third Base: Rodriguez, A., NYY Shortstop: Jeter, D., NYY Catcher: Posada, J., NYY Outfielder: Crawford, C., TB Outfielder: Hunter, T., MIN Outfielder: Sheffield, G., DET Write-in: First Base: Fielder, P., MIL Second Base: Utley, C., PHI Third Base: Cabrera, M., FLA Shortstop: Renteria, E., ATL Catcher: Martin, R., LAD Outfielder: Dunn, A., CIN Outfielder: Holliday, M., COL Outfielder: Rowand, A., PHI this is my list. i still got like 12 more times to vote and yes im doing it 50 times.
not bad, except Renteria and Cano do not deserve to go. Throw away the pinstriped glasses. There's clear bias there, with 4 Yankee votes and zero Met and Red Sox votes. That's why this thread made things worse. Also, Maggs deserves to go ahead of ex-Yankee steroid-abuser teammate Gary Sheffield.
i chose those people without checking stats really, i just did it for posada because he deserves to go, you have to pick the whole shit i guess to complete the vote. i did it for hit hit jorge... everyone can vote whoever they want bro, just chill...
Steroids aside, Sheffield is as deserving an all star starter as any. Just look at the difference he's made in that lineup. He's the reason why Ordonez is having the year he's having.
yismans gettin all fired up cuz blaze is voting for yankees? hahahaha dude relax, its meaningless bullshit.....yo think the little retarded 8 year olds in parks across the country dont just vote for their players? who cares about the all star game anyway
blaze where do i go to vote? i wanna spark one up and "skew" the numbers in the yanks favor....if agawa is on the ballott and voting for him 49 times yis
First Base: Morneau, J., MIN Second Base: Upton, B., TB Third Base: Rodriguez, A., NYY Shortstop: Guillen, C., DET Catcher: Martinez, V., CLE Outfielder: Guerrero, V., LAA Outfielder: Ordonez, M., DET Outfielder: Sheffield, G., DET First Base: Fielder, P., MIL Second Base: Utley, C., PHI Third Base: Cabrera, M., FLA Shortstop: Reyes, J., NYM Catcher: Martin, R., LAD Outfielder: Griffey Jr., K., CIN Outfielder: Holliday, M., COL Outfielder: Lee, C., HOU I got these picks by the tried and true method of looking at stats without names. Funny that I have neither Pudge nor Posada.
Can you please elaborate on this Logic? Even If a Player is having a Great year, deserves to be there and has a Big lead you DON'T Vote for them? Do you Vote for someone else or Leave it Blank?
if I know someone is going to win the balloting anyway, I try to get another player recognition by attempting to boost their final position in the voting. If a player has a 1 million vote lead on the runner-up, there's absolutely no point. And I never leave it blank. I just vote for another deserving guy who isn't getting votes.
