Well you know, once you go through stuff like this you do become a stronger person. I hope he gets an opportunity to be a football player again somewhere... amybe even with the Jets.

You're sweet. I still think he stunk. And that he was a waste of a draft pick.

If he really wanted to keep playing football, he'd get a chance somewhere (ufl, cfl, whatever), and he's talented so he could find his way back into the NFL, but unless he really changes I don't see that happening. Getting on a soap box and talking about yourself - telling sob stories about how hard your life has been and what hell you've been through - isn't all that admirable in my book. I do wish him the best though and I hope he turns his life around.

People who have no sympathy likely have no one they are close to who dealt with anything like this. So to me, that attitude is just ignorant.

Hate to see all that talent go to waste. It is surprising he got as for as he did. Makes you wonder what could have been.

All it takes for anyone to become a drug addict are the wrong group of friends at the wrong time in your life so its not really for anyone to point the finger.

Its not like he wanted to blow the chance to make millions of $$ and have an awesome life so its just goes to show the hold these things can get on a person.

I should feel sorry for the poor trust-fund baby who loves to party and can't control himself? Fuck this sympathy bullshit.

I don't really see a problem with it. He's never been outspoken before. I think he just wanted to tell his side of the story.

I'm with you on this and if he's been on drugs since 12 how the hell did we not spot this before drafting him? Whoever did the background checks on this guy should get the bullet.
