I was just about to post this as well. Jenkins isn't even 32 yet, so I'm not sure where the poster got this idea from.
I will wager you any amount of internet shaming that the player we draft this year in the second round will be better than Ahmad Brooks.
You look at some of these high profile guys that are being traded for 3rd picks and beyond, and you want the Jets to give away a 2nd rounder for a no named (thus far) player. Really?
So you give out your 2nd rounder like candies for a fringe player? Good luck getting a GM job with that kind of thinking.
this dude had his best (avg) year in a contract year and you want to trade a 2nd for him? as the great charlie murphy one said, "wrong. Wrong! we talkin about ... " ahmad brooks man!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aErFwwUf9XE sick Ahmad Brooks sack!! Doesn't mean I want him on our team!
Ok so let me get this straight. You guys, probably the same guys that are popping zits, ripping tubs, pounding old Milwaukee, and dropping E are telling me that Ahmad Brooks isn’t a better player than either Bryan the “Cactus” Thomas, or one Vern the roid machine minus the roid rage? Yup you guys are right and I am wrong. Do yourselves a favor and watch a fucking game from time to time after the Jets, by the NFL ticket or stay coherent at the bar after the Jets game (SF is usually on after the Jets for all of you that don’t understand time zones). Point number 2. Why would you not want a guy who was projected as a top 15 draft pick 3 years ago for a late 2nd rounder (basically 3rd) and who has just started to understand both the 3-4 scheme, and the NFL? I guess you ass clowns would rather draft a guy like Noorwood (because Hughes and or Saap will be gone, Graham long gone). Point is that Ahmad Brooks is a great fit for us, and if he was sitting there at #61 all of you zit popping, tube ripping…..dicks would draft him. That’s what I’m saying guys, you are getting too hung up on the idea of a 2nd round pick. It is a need position, probably the 2nd most needed position on this team behind a DE (round one). Now give me a compelling reason not to offer it?
People have given you enough compelling reasons not to. But your lack of understanding of the value of a 2nd round pick in this year's draft versus a glorified depth player who hasn't started a game in over 2 seasons overrides it in your pathetic fantasy world. Instead of asking for compelling reasons, you should probably be taking a bath with a toaster.
