Exactly. If we can bring him in on an incentive laden injury protected deal, with Powell and McKnight on the roster I'd be all for this.

Besides we won't be asking Bradshaw to be our workhorse he'd be in a rotation to begin with thus increasing his chances of staying healthy and lessening the impact of an injury. He's got tons of upside and is a unique opportunity given our cap this year to bring in a guy of his talent level.

Plus you'd have to thing Morhinweig (sp) knows him relatively well going against him in games while with the Eagles.

Now that's what I'm talking about.

If that's the reason they want to come here, then I don't want you to begin with. If you want to stay moderately close, go to philly or buffalo.

    Fuck outta here.

this is a factor in player decisions on where to sign anyway. not necessarily a huge factor but it surely plays a role. It's really not that big of a deal. If anything it's probably the only advantage to sharing a stadium with another team.

I know in our fan minds we think players sign places they want to play and where they want to do really well, but reality is they make decisions based on money, location, etc. Maybe late in their careers (i.e. Stephen Jackson) they sign with contenders only and "good fits". It all plays a role but there is more at play then just where they WANT to play.

We haven't been in the playoffs in 2 years. We need young dependable RBs that can last all season. Eli carried them 2 years ago, I just can't see Bradshaw doing that all year round. Bradshaw would be an excellent #2 alongside a newly drafted RB.

Plus that NFCCG against the 49ers, they had to run the football, Eli was getting his ass-kicked by the 49ers defense. Bradshaw has a great attitude, but I can't depend on him for 16 games

If the price is right but I still want us to draft a RB, this class is deep.

This right here is the reason why he's getting cut in the 1st place. This is also the reason why Jets should pass unless he's willing to play for near min.

As always the key question is "How much?"

Don't take it personal guy! It's a buisness. By the way beggars can't be choosers. I would take him cheap!

Runningbacks these days are a dime a dozen. If Bradshaw thinks he's gotta get a sweet payday somewhere then he ia sadly mistaken. For the Jets, we could use a guy like him. I am really weary of spending an early pick on a single runningback. I would rather draft a road grader that can help us succeed with anyone running behind him.

Exactly, as I said before, a backfield of Bernard/Lacy + Bradshaw + Powell would do this offense wonders. They are all different in some way and can all contribute without having to rely solely on one back to take the entire load.

Also, I think Bradshaw would take a pay cut because he doesnt want to move his family from the NY area so that could work to our advantage.

You get Bradshaw and Powell 10 touches a game and Gio Bernard or Lacy 15 and I guarantee our offense improves. It would also help a future young QB to have a deep and talented RB group with veteran leadership like Bradshaws.

The RB class has no effect on the Giants cutting bradshaw- they have two younger, cheaper RBs that are just as effective.

I'd want him here, he's pretty good runner, him and Powell in the backfield would be an upgrade over what we had last season.

As a change of pace back mixed in with Powell and McKnight we won't have to lean on him every down. Adding a guy of his ability into the rotation will be much needed. Bradshaw didn't CARRY that team but he certainly played a key role. Bradshaw would be great along with the 2 backs currently on our roster with varying levels of workload depending on the opponent. I don't think there would be any situation where we would rely completely on Bradshaw.

Also, just because we haven't been in the playoffs in 2 years doesn't mean the team shouldn't think toward the playoffs anyway. If they aren't wtf are we doing?

I mean we'll see what actually happens. We don't know Idzik's MO yet. We knew Tanny's MO for example, if he praised a guy on the roster to no end the guy was bound to be traded or cut shortly.

Would I be pissed if the Jets don't sign Bradshaw? Not at all. But with the right contract I think there is upside.

I like Bradshaw and Greene 1-2 combo. Powell looked pretty good down the line as well. Obviously, you cut Joe McKnight than.

We need to build the O-line next.

Manish Mehta apparently thinks we aren't interested in him.

If not, why...? If the guy signs on for cheap, he'd be a good fit.

    Come on, Idzik.

Then again, Manish is probably talking out of his ass like he always does.
