I hate Skip Bayless, but that last part I agree with wholeheartedly. In terms of fetishes, this one is weird, but relatively clean. Still embarrassing that clips of it were broadcast on Good Morning America, though. Anyone who still maintains that it isn't is either self-deluding or just plain soft.
If Skip Bayless doesn't think this is a big deal than it isn't a big deal. Skip is the Mike Francesa of ESPN
I'm sure. A lot of people will cast stones. The sons will get picked on. And the abuse in other stadiums will be pretty bad. But it's really Rex and Michelle's thing, and nobody should judge them.
Question- When is the patience of Woody Johnson for all the embarrassing tangential shit associated with his team going to run out? I think if the Jets don't go really deep in the playoffs, Rex is going to be in some peril (he'll at least get the riot act read to him). Winning buys some latitude with the shenanigans, but how much winning balances out how many embarrassments? Rich dudes don't buy football teams for this kind of madness (again, unless they go all the way)
For a guy like Rex? Absolutely not. On the spectrum of concerns, mine have always been (1) team distraction, (2) Rex's embarrassment, (3) everything else. I hope this causes everyone in that locker room to redouble their preparation. Otherwise, this lingers into Week 17, and amps up the pressure another ten notches.
Dude...He's averaging 10 Wins a year, and already has an AFCCG appearance, Two consecutive playoff appearences...both with a Rookie /2nd year QB.
Surprised to see that it made the local TV news in LA.... but they cover a lot of 'tabloid' crap. Consensus was it was not a big story. Then they moved on to Lindsey's smack down in rehab.
Sure. 5 wins with all this mess, and he's fired. Superbowl and he's an 'eccentric' hero and extended long term. Somewhere in the middle is the tipping point. My question was- where is it? How many embarrassing country club ballbreaking sessions for Woody will be too many for the number of wins Ryan brings him?
This week, we are ALL foot lovers! Support Sexy Rexy, don't help tear him down. You will be assisting all the Pats, Giants, Dolphins haters in destroying our team chemistry!
Its a personal matter. If some of the media idiots want to go crazy w/this, thats up to them. Its still a personal matter and frankly i don't think most people care about it. Move along.
There is a lesson to be learned here. There really is no anonymity on the internet anymore. The virtual world used to be relatively secret, but now social media has crossed into real life and had a profound effect on how people connect to one another. The stuff you posted years ago can be cached for long, long periods of time and dredged up when you least expect it. One playful drunken night of interwebs posting activity can come back to haunt you 10 years from now. Think of that the next time you get "freaky D" on the webs.
