If he isn't back next year as coach then what he does isn't our concern.

    We can't control those things.

    Not even a second

He' ll be the HC of the NYJ for at least the next 3-5 seasons.

Dennis Thurman will be given the responsibility of Def playcalling freeing Rex to better coach and adjust all three areas

Letting rex would be a big mistake but the jets make big mistakes all the time

What if Rex and Coughlin got fired at the end of the year and just switched head coaching positions.. that would be crazy and I think could work out for both teams. i know that scenario is completely unrealistic but would be hilarious.. Anyways.. #BringRexBack

    Keep Rex.

he wouldn't go to Dallas since they fired his brother imo. Rex would help a LOT of teams. Hopefully the Jets keep him for a long time.

I do not see anyone coming to the Jets that would give me any confidence that the team would be more successful. This is a coach, that took the Jets to within a game of the Super Bowl twice. What he needs is the personnel.

The Jets need to address their deficencies in the passing game and on the OL paritcularly at Guard.

The Jets also need to find someone that can play saftey...well. The development of Antonio Allen was stunted this year by the signing of Ed Reed. Even if it for the last two games, I hope they let allen get a majority of the reps...

Week 9 of the 2014 season, Rex Ryan's post game press conference: "We're sticking with RGIII. He gives us the best chance to win".

If Rex had a a QB ... We would already have multiple rings. And the media would be celebrating him as one of the greatest coaches

This is a completely insane idea and you're also probably right.

I'm sure Ravens fans were just as scared when Rex didn't get their HC job and they had to get a different DC. I can hear their lament. It's been 1 years since we last won a SB.

I really don't see a viable replacement out there for Rex. If David Shaw were available, he would be the guy. Extend him for 2 more seasons

he's supposed to respect a franchise that fired him when he didn't deserve it?

When all is said & done, bottom line is: I'm not sure many coaches could've gotten more than 6-7 wins out of this #Jets team.

Honestly I can't imagine Rex not being the head coach next year. It could happen, but I hope it doesn't.

HAHA, yeah, just like many in the sports media blame the loss to Carolina on Santonio's comment. In this morning's Record, they grade the Jets coaching C -, and part of the explanation was something like "Rex Ryan's lax atmosphere led to Santonio Holmes comment about the Carolina secondary which fired them up" So, that clearly was Rex's fault, and a blight on his coaching of the game.

    Give me a freakin break...

While I agree in theory, since having a top QB would make a HUGE difference for a Rex Ryan coached team, this is our Jets we're talking about.

"Multiple" is usually a word we can only associate with words like 'injuries" "dilemmas' "penalties" "turnovers"...

It doesn't matter to me where he goes or how much success he has. I hope they let him go and move on in a different direction.

If Rex succeeds somewhere else, good for him. It wouldn't mean a damn thing though, because its the right decision for this unique situation/franchise/point in time to let him go.

Pretty much every coach at this level would succeed if they have a good QB. What is your point? This isn't some huge revelation here. No crap he would be successful with a good QB.

The problem is this team doesn't have a QB. So it needs a coach that can find, develop, or coach up a QB. Rex can't do any of those things.
