I thought the D played better today and we clearly have some very talented players on O. This team could easily be anywhere from 4 & 1 to 2 & 3 right now with a couple of breaks. I watch the Giants alot and while they arent' great in the secondary have a lot of talent more than many of the teams we face. I thought the team played very hard today and with a lot of heart. I think todays effort wins some ball games against the rest of this schedule.
We scored 10 points and gave up 28, if you take out the plays you can't count on every week like picks for TDS, fumble recoveries for Tds and kick returns for TDs. We got blown out, dude.
Its the same thing every week. How is the D-fense getting better? 190 rushing yards allowed and Burress had a field day! We fail to get our tight end involved in the offense, and chad is almost always looking to go to coles. If the D-fense is giving up 30+ points to the Giants, I can't wait to see what teams like the bengals and steelers do to us
You never know what might happen down the road with injuries. Maybe Ryan Fitzpatrick will play instead of Carson Palmer on 10/21. It is difficult to look at the schedule in August and say things like "this game should be a win" and "that game should be a loss." However, now that 5 weeks are in the bag, we are starting to see which teams are good and which teams are bad. Now I feel we can look at the schedule. At this rate, it doesn't appear the Jets will be favored in any games except for the Bills and Dolphins and maybe the Browns and Chiefs ones. With better coaching and a QB switch, the Jets could still get to 5-11. I don't think they could do any better than that. I think the December 2 game (Miami) is the Jets only hope for a road win. Going to Cincinnati, Dallas, New England, and Tennessee will be exceedingly difficult. This season is starting to resemble 1976, 1992, 1995, 1996, and 2005. Those were all years in which the Jets were garbage on the road (and garbage in general). 4-35 was the composite road record of those five years.
Chad will be back. I think the play calling has been flat out stupid the last 2 games. Schotty hasnt even tried to establish a running game and Thomas Jones. Until he can do that, Chad will look like he did today. Yes he has a noodle arm, but I cant beat him up too bad since our defense cant put pressure on the QB and our offensive coordinator is doesnt know how to use the talent he was given.
