Don't hate the Steelers, Not their fault we didn't show up for the first half. Hate to say it but without an OC that can guide an offense correctly we will go nowhere. As good as Rex is, and the team is, our offense especially with a young quarterback needs a top notch OC. Shotty has no idea how to run this offense. Never have I seen an OC on a successful team continue to run the same plays that don't work over and over. I know we had a great season but until we get a great OC, this team will go no further than they have gone the last two years!
The only hate that I've had grown since last night is for Schottenheimer. The Steelers came to play and the Jets didn't for half the game. How can I hate the Steelers for that?
You are right! Rex has the stuff in my opinion to be a Super Bowl caliber coach. But with out a Super Bowl caliber OC a game like last night is what you get. I agree that last night the defense was not great in the first half, but when the offense cant muster more that a couple of first downs and only three points that came at the end of the half causing the defense to be the field for most of the half, thats what you get. Not going to beat the Steelers in the championship game like that. We could also use a little more quickness from our linebackers next year.
How can you hate a team for beating the Jets when the Jets didn't show up until the second half ? Had the Jets awoken from the start the outcome should have or could have been different. Ryan and his players seem to focus much on the trash talk or circus stuff of the game rather than the x's and o's of the game. Yeah, I was a Ben basher from the start and probably before I heard the sexual stuff about him. He wasn't arrested, wasn't found guilty ( wasn't found innocent either ) but I have to admit, I do find it hard for this to happen to a person that probably has a ton of girls wanting to give it away to him. After some of the interviews and all that I've read and watch I think Ben is innocent of the charges but stupid for placing himself in bad situations. I heard Sanchez got accused of the same stuff and college...is he now a rapist. All the Jets had to do is bring their A game and they did not. It's no surprise they lost, very few teams do make it all the way without having a bye week. On the road, playing difficult teams, teams that have had more experience and so on, the Jets did very good and I bet next year they will learn to focus and win it all.
