THat is also my understanding. The team that gave up the safety clearly had possession. Since the rule is intended to give the team that has not yet had possession following the go ahead score to have a chance, that concern goes by the wayside if they have gone ahead themselves. Personally and despite the opinions that suggest this new rule will likely work more in favor of the Jets, I don't like it. It's unlikely the game goes to overtime, anyway.
I think both teams will be in the 20s in terms of points scored. I'll pick our Jets to win 27-21. Sanchez needs to have a good day and he should. Even during their current winning streak, the Colts' defense has allowed opposing QBs to carve them up and put up some very good numbers. Sanchez is every bit as good if not better than the likes of J. Campbell, D. Garrard, and K. Collins. There is no reason this team could not put up more than 3 TDs in this game. For me, the magic number is 25. If the Jets get to 25 points, I'm confident they will win the game. The Jet defense should be able to hold the Colts' offense to a lower score than that.
I was close, had their score right. Hell yeah baby!!! Great game plan by Rex, I pegged that one. Similar strategy next week!! Jets Redemption Road continues....
You don't think you've flooded the board enough with the other 3 threads talking about Peyton Manning? If we could combine you and milcus, I wonder what we'd end up with.
Damn... that final minute was so exciting, and watching it with colts fans made it that much better Also, i lol'd \/
The whole thing playing out how it did was crazy. They let us in the playoffs in 09, we beat the Chargers for them. They beat us and go to the Super Bowl but lose Mathis in our game. No Mathis hurt them a lot, they lose the Super Bowl. We come back and beat them the next year, get revenge, we might have injured Peyton....?(who knows)
