Some not-so-fun A.P. facts:

- As a 7-year-old, watched a drunken driver strike and kill his brother Brian, then 9, who was riding a bicycle.
- Peterson’s father, Nelson, spent almost seven years in prison for laundering money from selling crack cocaine.
- A half brother of Peterson’s, Chris Paris, was shot and killed in Houston the night before Peterson attended the N.F.L. combine in 2007.
- In July 2012, Peterson was charged with resisting arrest outside a nightclub in Houston (a grand jury declined to indict him).
- Last October, Tyrese Ruffin, a 2-year-old son Peterson did not know about until a few months before, was killed in Sioux Falls, S.D.
- Joseph Robert Patterson, the boyfriend of Ruffin’s mother, awaits trial for murder next month.
- Peterson, who has two surviving children, married his longtime girlfriend, Ashley Brown, last July.

 

Spare the rod, spoil the child. If parents do not punish children for wrong, the government will have to punish the adult later on.

Really? I think going to a SuperBowl means you were the Conference Champion.

 

Except that the Patriots have been to a SuperBowl in recent years. Have the Jets? Wait a minute, the Jets made 2 conference championship Games . That caused major wood on this board. The Patriots have done that 3 years running and they blow.

 

Any fan should be excited to see their team in the conference game. Unfortunately we lost those games. At the end of the day, I don't consider that an accomplishment because we didn't win the SB.

That's what it's all about at the end of the day and the Patriots haven't done so since they got caught cheating. The window is closing - you guys should have at least 2 more SB wins.

 

And they lost in the superbowl so...?

 

Patriots should have one or two more superbowls actually in that timeframe

 

Never hit my kids, except maybe a tap on the ass or hand as toddlers, I used time outs. Last I checked none of them had ever been arrested, all are in college with good grades, are respectful and know how to treat others. It's more than just about using corporal punishment or not.
