Mitchell is still only 23 years old which is crazy because these days they play college til their 25. You are getting a 6’3 WR that runs a 4.3 that is essentially a rookie in age/mileage but with 25 games of NFL experience
Bills fans shit on him only because Buffalo took Keon Coleman instead and it’s looking like a bad call. It is like a cultish mission now to tear down the guys they coulda had instead of Coleman ask him how he feels about Xavier Worthy lol
There are plenty of solid criticisms of Mitchell so yeah it’s kind of a dead giveaway that this is just hate when you say something like “ you just keep waiting for him to break out and he never does“ when he’s played less than a season and a half in his career.
Damn. You know what, youre right. AD has had a very great and consistent college and pro career. My bad.
He was the same in college, you guys act like these kids lives started a year ago. I said the same thing to all of you when Robbie Anderson was disciplined here in NY. I knew about Anderson since high school... he'd been kicked off his high school team, kicked off his college team TWICE, and still doing the same garbage in the pros. The jets fans were blinded to the truth because they wanted him to be successful. I'm not saying AD can't turn it all around and be the complete opposite of what he's been, but that's the exception to the rule and I'll believe it when I see it. I am a little biased, because guys like that drive me crazy. Pickens is someone I'd never want on my team and I cant believe teams continue to give up assets for him and now he'll get paid in the offseason. All he will do is not live up to expectations. His talent and ability is like a weird spell for people, they cant see past it and its all they'll see.
Yes you are the prophet that saw Robbie Anderson’s off field and locker room issues. No one had any inkling until you brought it up. I’m just saying maybe we don’t write a kids entire career story after less than a season and a half. Especially when he was a throw in as part of a massive blockbuster. I don’t think anyone here is proclaiming he’s the next Deandre Hopkins which is why this whole response is weird.
He’s a nice player to have as a complimentary piece. The small/speed guy is needed in every offense as a gadget guy. I don’t draft those guys in the first round though.
No one is “writing him off” so stop with the hyperbole. Guys like that are fine to have as back-end of the roster guys where there’s no expectations on them and no one is counting on them to be something. He’s fine as a throw in player, as a lottery ticket, maybe he’ll be the exception to the rule, etc. I’m responding to those who are drooling over his “talent” and want to believe he’s something that he’s not and wanting to make positive excuses for why he’s never been that before but will be now. He’ll always make the flash plays here and there, but tell me when he’s the first one in last one out guy, a leader, a blocker, someone who gives effort on every play, someone who makes smart plays, and someone who does all the little things right consistently. I’m not going to care when he makes a one handed Randy moss style catch over someone once every 4 weeks.
No. What I’m saying is there’s a difference between putting your hopes and dreams into a guy and then… not. If he works out, great, but I’m not going to plan and count on him doing what he’s never done before to the point where I’m not still trying to improve the WR position because he’s there. I would still add talent to that room with high draft picks or free agency. If AD works out that’s an added bonus.
Adonai Mitchell doesn’t block and is a malcontent like Robbie Anderson? News to me. He actually got flagged for holding on a long JT which means he was actively trying to block. Where’s the malcontent stuff come from? Oh Bills fan douchery.
Lol no one cares about the jets. They just traded away 2 guys that were stars for years…. It didn’t make a difference.
