Eh, if you read the OTA reports from Tuesday's workout Sanchez was staring down and locking on to receivers and was inaccurate with his throws while Smith was pretty much on target and looking "Crisper" than Sanchez on his throws. That all said, I'm holding off judgment on anything but Picksoffs until the pads go on. That's where things will get separated.
Thank you for cementing your douchery in stone. There you go. Not so hard to find... Everything Ive read of yours Stokes seems like you are clearly in favor of Mark Sanchez (and thats putting it lightly), and have no debate to the other side of the argument other than calling someone a moron or a hater.
I can think of $8.25 million reasons why the Jets still have Sanchez on the roster and he wasn't traded to anyone else (Too expensive for a crap player).
So you haven't read what I've said. I've called Sanchez haters haters because that's what they are--but I'm a fan of both Geno AND Sanchez. Best man wins. Full stop. There are folk here who will defend Sanchez and rip Geno and those that will kill Sanchez and rip Geno. That's not being a fan--that's driving an agenda. I was a Sanchez fan for 2 years, a defender for 1 and befuddled his awful last year. If Geno goes out and starts throwing 18 yard strikes to guys in stride--guess what? I'm his biggest fan. I want Geno to be the next Aaron Rogers. Actually--I want a JET QB to be the next Aaron Rogers--regardless of what number he wears. _
You realize (i) I didn't write that article and (ii) that was a quote form an actual player (i.e., not me)? D'oh. _
Schefter hates Sanchez. If he said it, i would be inclined to consider it. Because, he hates Sanchez, not bc I Want it to be the case.
No. You missed that memo. When June 1st rolled around, The Genomaniacs decided they were just pulling my leg.
You obviously dont get much Sportscenter. I would have said disparages, but wanted to spare you from fetching the doctionary. Sorry.
I know what that word means. And Schefter has not said anything disparaging about Mark Sanchez. He reports the facts and breaks news. I don't think he's even talked negatively about Sanchez in the past 6 months...
Meh, Why so serious, myou know I was tweaking you ther. Lighten up. And, Schefter does play down the middle...more than most, but usually camt wait to feed the ESPN story line. and its no different this year than last.
No fucking way possible Sanchez is ahead or clear cut starter If the Jets brass already made this decision we're fucked Let them battle in pre-season games, where everyone can see who's got the goods
How many Jets fans still don't understand why Sanchez struggled last year is mind blowing. They literally think he is why they were (6-10). Sad how dumb many NFL fans are.
Sorry but my argument on Sanchez isn't about last year, at least not last year by itself. Win/Losses are a team stat. Sanchez last season was pretty much the Sanchez of every season, yes he had one season where his TD's spiked, and he had a different season where he only threw 13 instead of his normal 18-20 interceptions. But when you break down his metrics 2012 was just an average Sanchez year. He's not the kind of QB that can lift a team above the level of it's base talent. The cold hard facts are he's been a short yardage QB with one of the lowest yards per attempt in the NFL, he's turned the ball over more than he's scored, rushing and passing TD's combined, and he's only been over 55% completion rate once. One note that was particularly disturbing that was a quote from the QB coach was that today, Wednesday, was the first time all camp that Sanchez kept 2 hands on the ball. A basic fundamental but it took him all OTA and minicamp go get that basic. I mean they even call the anti-fumble drill "the Sanchez". Keeping 2 hands on the football is pop warner stuff.
Theres a huge difference between struggling, and then how Sanchez played. It would be one thing if he struggled and weathered the storm... He made the storm worse and played like the worst QB in the NFL, regressing in almost every fundamental area. And no, I am not saying that Sanchez was the entire reason why we went 6-10.
