I understand what you are saying, but in my opinion those reports about Clemens possibly winning the job are a bit far fetched. Is it possible? Yeah it could happen... I just don't see two vets losing the starting job to a rook.
Adam, when he was on WHEN (Syracuse), was the only local sports guy I ever heard critize an SU Coach live on air during an interview. I believe it was in 1999 after a loss in football to Rutgers. Deleone hung up on him. That never happens up here were the media is so soft on SU it's ridiculous. I loved him ever since then, even though he is a huge Giants fan.
In most cases, a QB that could throw would be 'preferable'. If he can't prove himself start the qb who can. It's fair, and we have nothing to lose; and if Clemens takes his lumps this season I'm fine with that. I enjoy what Chad P brings to the table in terms of intangibles, but we can 't just go with him because he's proven himself in the past because lets face it, thanks to his many shoulder injuries we don't know what to expect from him (and he doesn't even know what he can do right now so how can we....) Now what happens if Bollinger tears it up during TC and pre-season....I wonder how many will root for him to start LOL.
