One thing you hear is Maccaggnan was horrible , which he was, but you are going to tell me Gase had no input in this draft, bullshit, he was in on every terrible pick

Actually Gase was apparently sulking in the corner and not having input in the draft.

Maccagnan's the ONE thing Gase was right on, unfortunately.

If Gase is still around this year, then I have a hard time believing this all wasn't a coordinated tank or that Douglas either a) has no desire to fire a friend b) Is being told to stay put by the Johnsons.

I had the same thought, that they were trying to do a Miami but didn't want to be so obvious.

A friend just texted me that he heard a banner will be up for fire Gase at the Giants game. Is that true?

Maybe but that has no bearing on whether we should keep or fire Gase.

it doesn't but its just something to think about when you read the posts from people who are adamant about wanting to fire Gase

To which I have to think that at least some of those HCs and OCs are at least trying to make adjustments, changing things up to try to get a better result. Gase? Nothing.

He really might be. Not every head coach is going to be Herm Edwards to the media. Gase might end up being the worst coach in NFL history. But his interactions with douchey New York reporters that do nothing but try to stir shit up in Gase's locker room has no bearing on his abilities as a coach.

Shurmur hates these guys too. I don't blame him. Francessa ripped him and his team apart for a half hour straight grilling Shurmur about "ya team is no good I mean they're just horrible" and WFAN wonders why he cancelled the weekly spot?

Gase isn't going anywhere for another year. The product has been awful. But the injuries have too. And the offensive line play might be the worst I've ever seen in my 18 years watching football and this team. Let's see what he can do if he gets a couple more pieces.

Vilma I get it everyone will give Gase a pass because of the injuries but the bottom line is not the lack of talent or depth on this team as the Jets are not even competitive in these games it is that this coach has no answers for any of the Jet problems zero none nada on any side of the ball. Gase actually said they are having great practices and that they are just missing or not clicking here and there during the games = is he EFFING kidding us ? Yes Gase will be kept around sadly for another year CANT WAIT

A big problem with the offensive line is the coaching.

They're not. But Sam couldn't practice for a month. That's part of the reason there's absolutely no rhythm in the passing game. Announcers always talk about how great throws are when they throw the ball before the receiver even turns around and it's completed. The amount of reps to get to that point is insane.

No Herndon, Enunwa gone for the year and Crowder/Thomas are both brand new to the roster. The Pats game should just be thrown away but the Jaguars game will be good teaching film for him beyond the pressures.

The absolute worst case scenario for all three phases of the game has happened for this team.

Right. But without going back and looking at the all 22 I can't say whether or not the playcalling has been that bad. I mean Sam marched down the field nearly flawlessly twice. Did we abandon the short passing game the rest of the game? Was he looking for too many homeruns? Was Gase looking for too many homeruns? I'm not sure. That's about all Gase can do to help the line.

Outside of that its been an absolute shuffle. We started a 3rd round pick projected to play guard at left tackle last week against one of the NFL's best speed rusher.

Qb whisperer offensive genius = his best
I think other teams make adjustments during the game and our wonderful offensive genius does not----case in point teams will blitz us until we can stop it but you cant stop it if you do not max protect or give your LT who is getting beaten like a drum HELP ----it never happened the adjustment was NEVER made and the guy gave up 3 1/2 sacks and our FQB got sacked 8 damn times and hit countless others. --BTW the FQB has developed terrible mechanics but no sweat the qb whisperer will fix that in a jiffy. Gase is ruining this kid
