Cannot understand why Gase continues to run the empty set when none of the OL guys can block worth a shit. Why does he keep sending out 4-5 WRs when none of them are playmakers? At this point, you're better off going back to the Pro Set and increasing the QB's protection. Oh yeah, that's right, the colossal retard who put this roster together didn't even account for a blocking back so scratch that.
Anyone person with common sense will know that a guy who has a losing record will not be a good hire. Was it Peyton Manning who said that Gase would be a good hire when Johnson asked him ?
Multiple passes behind the line of scrimmage as well as Bell running for his life is not a recipe for a successful offense. Not making excuses, but Falk was playing with alot of different players on the offensive line. He was the sacrificial lamb...
C'mon guys. It's not Gase. It's our lack of playmakers. Here's what we should do. To encourage Gase to call plays that go beyond the LOS, sign or trade for a Jamison Crowder type. Tough slot receiver, can create space and catch in the middle of the field. Then we sign a guy like Ty Montgomery- a RB who can be moved around to create mismatches. Motion a guy like him outside, and then you've got a LB covering a guy with the speed and hands of a WR. Brilliant, if I say so myself.
Its all so much worse when you point out how this offense SHOULD be working. It’s like every single person knows what should be happening except the guy in charge. But he also was hired by a guy who was the only person that didn’t know Gase was a terrible coach so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.
That's easier said than done. You or I certainly couldn't do it. And that's the ultimate problem. Gase is pretty much you or I. He's a random grad assistant who build a reputation on the backs of actual professionals.
55 yards fg attempt INTO the wind knowing our kicking situation sucks. 4th and 1 he dials up a pick six play for Philly. Worst HC in football this season. Who's doing a worse job?
I'm all for firing Gase but not for McCarthy. We need someone with experience in the black arts. It's time to bring in the exorcist.
Yea, I definitely thought it was too early to fire him, but watching this game changed my mind. He is just a God awful playcaller. Offensive playcalling is terrible, too many penalties, not preparing your starting QB for the game. He has no business being the head coach of a team.
Would Herndon be able to provide this once he puts down the bong and returns? Falk needs some fearless, big targets like Enuwa or Herndon. Only Herndon is an option now as Enunwa is done. Also, like someone mentioned below we need to drop the empty set.
They say an alchoholic has to hit rock bottom to get sober. The Jets ordered a double and a round for the house.
The longer he's employed by the Jets, the less likely it is that Sam Darnold becomes the franchise QB we so desperately need. Hopefully Christopher Johnson comes to this realization before it's too late and Darnold's development has been irreversibly stunted.
